He gets a cut of the money because it was his marketplace. I'm sure if you had a site like that and were risking your life, you would want some money for it too.

cut off a head, and 2 will take its place
or in this case, maybe a dozen, SR's body is barely cold and the replacements are ready
i know there are issues with having internet drug markets, but what do you expect from the antiquated drug policies the USA is hanging onto?
jail users/sellers and throw away the key? that's working well

completely agree.. no one is going to do something for nothing, especially when that something is putting your freedom at risk imo..

not to mention running silk road surely wasn't free, and probably not cheap either. we also don't know what his intentions were for the money he made. remember, based off reports it seems he was living a very modest life.

He kept a black market open for two years in the sight of the federal government. It remains to be seen what will come out during trial but it took a fair amount of effort to crack it. The fee for listing was on the order of 5% so it was more expensive than listing on eBay but it was still pretty cheap.

Growone..the dea calls it the 'whack-a-mole' syndrome..bust here,it pops up there..
And now for some rory420420 insight..brought to you by: chronic and miller lite.
Gentlemen..perhaps we have forgot how this country was founded..we were told..'taxes,and you goota be this way..'
We said 'fuck you,we do what we want..now this AMERICA!'..
We fought for what we believed in,and won..and had tea...now,what I feel silk road has done has started the proverbial 'tea party'..
I believe that silk road is just a lost battle in a war that can only be won by citizens..I mean after all..WE are the ones funding the drug war with OUR taxes WE give to politicians to use that WE vote into office...look at the pot issue in the last 12 years..does anyone honestly think america is ready for another ten years of stepping over junkies to go to work,or will we make drastic(sensible) changes and make it a sociably accepted 'problem' we can 'cure or moderate' to further our society(using that as an example..we've allready done it kinda with methadone and heroin clinics everywhere)..silk road was the trojan horse in the drug war..just wait..opinions be damned..I'm talking reality here
Thank you for tuning in,and now back to our regularly scheduled thread...

Do you even know how they caught DPR and shut down SR...Read over all the given info and if you ask me the site was pretty fuckin secure in my eyes...It was the owner who fucked up in the early days'

dpr was under surveilance from the start, dpr spoke of having a clean hit orchestrated for $80k and agreed on a price for another, he really should have been more careful because i liked sr.

There's at least a dozen more onion sites selling drugs. They just don't sell the really interesting stuff SR had. Damn.

Wanna get rid of the heroin supply? I calculate that for around $30 billion we could buy the yearly output of Afganistan and burn it. This factor in paying the farmers double to insure the sell all of it to US.

Instead we will spend $100 billion to deal with it after the fact.

Then someone else would start growing it. People like to get high and they aren't about to stop any time soon. So either someone else would produce heroin or something more dangerous would replace it like krokodil.

Molly, god the underweb is fucking dripping molly but where the hell are the Beez?
