Mine run 24/0 and have since day 1. no adverse effects, however if you could provide links to discussions backing up your claim that it is bad I would enjoy reading them to get more perspective about the subject.

Sounds about right. I figure our girls probably need time to rest or sleep. If I remember correctly the roots do some stuff while the upper plant rests.
Not entirley sure and I'm to lazy to look it up right now, haha. Logic tells us all things that are alive must rest at a certain point.

24/0 might work, but they won't be doing better, it doesn't happen in their natural habitat and they grow plenty big enough in that. Stick to whats natural, I would bet the plants use the dark period for something throughout the lifecycle.

Cannabis is a type of plant that needs no rest period...
Growing take patience because u must wait for your plant to literally grow...
I do 24/0 because i like maximizing the amount of time in veg...i hate waiting around...
Consider this, if you were to grow 2 plants that were identical except 18/6 and the other being 24/0
at the end of the month that 24/0 plant will have grown around 1/4 to a 1/3 faster than the other...

i feel that it totally your guys opinion and although i understand where u get your logic
from i feel that its wrong...
Just because something is not exactly as nature is does not mean that it is worse or better...Most times
i would say you would want to replicate nature but in some circumstances we can do better than her...
science and technology is badass...
If anyone has references or sources showing why or how a 24/0 is bad or that
a 18/6 is better for some reason i would love to see it...

It's been done. Cannabis, as with most flowering plants don't need darkness to grow, they need it to flower. A plant under 24 hours of light will grow faster. It's that simple, that whole "your plants need rest" idea is stupid to say the least and has no factual evidence of such a claim. I've posted on this so much I really don't care to look for the information and post it AGAIN.

Personally I would add the 2700k bulb and double your lighting output. This 24/0 versus 18/6 cycle can all be answered by using a Co2/oxygen detector. Take a reading during the light on then compare to the lights out reading. Very Different reading, now if you ask yourself why, and you should have your own answer. Arguing only show just how much you know and proving anything on sites like this is asking for someone to crap on you and your evidence. Due your own research and believe in your experience because they are what will tell you what's going on. I recommend 18/6 to all my growers and only one out of 15 runs a different schedule. Personally I have seen the difference, some strains stress more, some stress less, doesn't mean its all good.

What you wouldn't add another light? Adding more lumens makes plenty of sense. You don't have access to a meter do you? you will see with a meter it makes perfect sense. Go rent a meter and have a look for yourself. Any safety supply store will have the units...they are expensive, probably why so much argument. JAS
