Hey guys.

My baby girls are getting a little top heavy. She tends to lean over about a half inch and shes getting pretty bushy.

I was wondering if I should prune some of her branches off, or just let her do her thing and become stronger to support all her weight.

Thanks in advanced :hump:

How old are they?
Bushy can be a good thing but pictures would help. You could also use a bamboo stake or something similar to help her out.

Oh. She'll probably be fine. 95% of the time, plants buff up in time to put on some serious weight. But if not, tie her to a stick or something. No biggie.

You shouldnt be having problems with weak stems & stalks this early in the grow, unless your plants have extra heavy buds all over the place the last thing you want to do is to stake them up,it looks to me like the main stalk is small for the plants overall size ,which leads me to believe that you do not have enough air blowing on the plant.

Air circulation & plant movement from that air is critical to plants developing the stem & branch structure needed to produce fat & heavy buds, get a fan blowing on them & keep the plants moving at all times, the stems & branches will beef up big time,if you've allready got a fan on them increase the strength of the air movement & increase how the air moves the plants.

Panhead, thanks for the explanation!!
My backyards air circulation is defiently on the weak side, considering its a small backyard with a 6 foot fence all the way around it.

Time to bust out the fan.

I put a little baby fan out there, but I think its too weak for the both of them, although they seem to be moving at all times slightly, which I think should be about just right.

We'll see how smart you really are, panhead! ;)

thanks buddy.

its deifently obvious, its blowing the leaves around but not the whole plant. maybe I should put the big fan out there.

I put the big fan out there. the movement is defiently "more obvious" now.

Now only time will tell, even though your theory does make sense, how much improvement in girth will I actually notice??

Also, good luck with your MMJ movement there in Michigan, its really a beuatiful thing!
