What do we know about anything?

What do we know about anything? when the matter of fact of knowing anything is actually thinking about knowing something, which nothing can truly be known. You can have information about something, or be in the know about something, but never truly KNOW. And even that understanding of knowledge can never be fully known, just comprehended. So how can we say or pretend we know anything, when it is blatantly clear to see all that we believe or think to know is true, couldn't be further from the truth. IDK... What do you believe?

P.s. I think i'm contradicting myself...

In the end, we all die. So even if we know everything now, in the end we all end up knowing dirt.

just the body nevaeh,
Whats up IAMthatIAM?

I do believe in life after death, or reincarnation. I believe if God wills it than the chosen will live again. BUT I don't know that we will remember our past lives (or this life) if we are reincarnated. But I'm a strong believer in life after death but most likely we will be born again and not know anything as a new born baby. We could have had millions of past lives but it doesn't seem like anyone remembers their past life, but I could be wrong.

These are just My opinions.

I always thought it amusing that some people say when reincarnated, people forget their past lives. What is the point, then? That would be the same thing as dying. Without a sense of ‘I-ness’, what part of ‘you’ would carry on?

That's a good point. But at least "you" would get to enjoy another life and not just be dead for ever.

I would think it would be impossible to remember a past life if one was born again. At best, one would be able to know about their past life but not be able to "relive it". For example, I believe that I am the reincarnation of Christ, but I don't remember ever being Jesus 2,000 years ago. I do remember fulfilling prophecy of stories about what Jesus allegedly did in the Bible, and I actually did some of these things in My own life. Maybe that's as close as its going to get to remembering reincarnation.

If I was born again, I would just want to focus on that life and not worry about all the problems I have in this life. It might be nice to know that I had a past life but that life would be over with and I would want to know how I could make the present life as comfortable as possible.

But the point of reincarnation is getting another chance to live, and enjoying that life even fuller than the ones we have now. I'm sure the next life would be just as real as this one except times and places would be much different and maybe much better. But who knows how many past lives we have had, or how many future lives we will have?

But this is all speculation, of course.

EDIT- God could have set it up that we all are immortal and not even know it YET!

Well, essentially without ego we are just undifferentiated consciousness/awareness and indistinguishable from each other. Hence I am the reincarnation of everyone who ever was or will be.

Ego - Sense of individual existence and self. Undifferentiated consciousness - What you get when you remove all aspects of ego from your awareness. This is commonly called the witness state.

The witness state can exist without ego, but ego cannot exist without the witness state. We can assume the witness state is primal to consciousness and the ego is added to it, not the source of it.

The witness state is identical in all of us. Since I cannot distinguish between your witness state and mine, as long as one of us is alive we both are.

The Holy Bible is a great source of absolute truth. It is the manual for living. It can be found here: http://www.biblegateway.com/
"Go up, my warriors, against the land of Merathaim and against the people of Pekod. Yes, march against Babylon, the land of rebels, a land that I will judge! Pursue, kill, and completely destroy them, as I have commanded you," says the LORD. "Let the battle cry be heard in the land, a shout of great destruction". (Jeremiah 50:21-22 NLT)

You must destroy all the nations the LORD your God hands over to you. Show them no mercy and do not worship their gods. If you do, they will trap you. Perhaps you will think to yourselves, 'How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?' But don't be afraid of them! Just remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all the land of Egypt. Remember the great terrors the LORD your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the amazing power he used when he brought you out of Egypt. The LORD your God will use this same power against the people you fear. And then the LORD your God will send hornets to drive out the few survivors still hiding from you! "No, do not be afraid of those nations, for the LORD your God is among you, and he is a great and awesome God. The LORD your God will drive those nations out ahead of you little by little. You will not clear them away all at once, for if you did, the wild animals would multiply too quickly for you. But the LORD your God will hand them over to you. He will throw them into complete confusion until they are destroyed. He will put their kings in your power, and you will erase their names from the face of the earth. No one will be able to stand against you, and you will destroy them all. (Deuteronomy 7:16-24 NLT)

When the people heard the sound of the horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the city from every side and captured it. They completely destroyed everything in it – men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, donkeys – everything.
(Joshua 6:20-21 NLT)

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

Women should listen and learn quietly and submissively. I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve. And it was the woman, not Adam, who was deceived by Satan, and sin was the result. But women will be saved through childbearing and by continuing to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty. (1 Timothy 2:11-15 NLT)

If those are the answers, I'd hate to hear the questions.

there are scrip. for it. but not real clear such as...Ecc 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Ecc 1:10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
Ecc 1:11There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those
that shall come after. then there is the one the first adam is of the earth the second adam is of the heavens...then there is also john the Baptist and Elijah... and then again there is dejavue we have all had that at one time or another...now heres another one from left field, that I like...keep in mind that there is no rememberance of former lives, but when we recognize truth that is thousands of years old it could have been you that said it or wrote it. for example...
Ecc 1:12 the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem. kind of like sending yourself a message through time...the.. who knows we may all be spiritual clones!

I believe in time travel, if that's what you mean?

I just don't know if you can go BACKWARDS in time, but I know a time traveler can go FORWARDS in time. Einstein said that as you approach the speed of light, time slows down in your space ship, and conversely time "speeds" up on the planet that you left. Its the theory of relativity. So if I were to jump into a space ship that could travel 99% of the speed of light, I could go take a trip for a year in the space ship and when I come back, 100 years could have passed on earth. Its time traveling. But I have never heard of a way to go BACKWARDS in time, only forwards in time. That's what I discerned from My limited studies of relativity.

If you could travel back into the past than that could have the potential of messing up the paradigm of history and you could potentially change history. But if you go into the future than the history books (or the past) would remain the same except there would be time travelers among them now.

I hope I'm not confusing anyone. I'm not 100% certain that I'm correct but that's what I believe.

For the record, I believe there are time travelers with us presently on the earth today, they could be aliens too.

EDIT- The more I think about it, the more I'm glad we cant time travel into the past because it could really mess things up a lot. Hypothetically, if we could time travel into the past, whos to say that someone couldn't bring a nuclear bomb with them and fire the nuclear bomb off at the point in history where you could wipe out all life? Than what would that mean for the present life? Its just not possible IMO because the past is the past and there is no going back to it. But according to Einstein and science, it is possible to time travel into the future; and whos to say how many times you could pop in on a planet throughout its history, and whos to say how far into the future you can time travel? Could one travel a thousand years, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, a million years, or why not even time travel a billion years into the future?

The videos are so well done as to not agitate sensitive viewers, it reminds me of Mr. Rogers, this is how science should be done
