quick way to dry 2 freezer bags of trim??

whats the fastest way to dry out 2 large freezer bags of fresh, frozen trim?

I would like to dry it, grind/chop it up a little bit, and make BHO with it.

I just tried with some wet stuff and I cant pack much into my extractor due to it being to fresh and wet.

also, I dont want to stink up my apartment so I cant use the oven :(

waited so long for a damn answer that the damn weed dried itself out... guess I got my answer!

hmmm. interesting. I never thought of throwing a handfull in the chamber.... now I am even more eager to get off work to play with my toys!!!

put it in a paper grocery bag or 2 and let it sit somewhere with a little air movement. also lower humidity to dry quicker obviously.

I might be wrong, but my way of thinking is that if you dry weed quickly, you end up with shit that hardly get's you high, so if you dry trim quickly, is there any reason you will not also end up with shit?

The high is the same as if you dried it the long way...
Everything else is bad... The taste, the harshness...etc...
If you grew your sheiot properly, the hi will be there, just nothing else...
Two plants grown under identical conditions, both harvested the same day, and way...
Then you dry/cure one properly, the other one you fast dry in microwave...

The high will be the same... just not the taste/harshness...

We normally pull the fan leaves and hang our plants to dry. We dry the fan leaves on screens, which we stir daily until dry.

When we take trim donations, it is often fresh and in a bag, so we spread it on screens to dry as well.

I have never experienced this. I near always ended up taking a few buds and drying them in either the oven or on top of a reflector while the rest dried slowly and the high was always utterly inferior to the stuff dried properly.

Obviously the quick dry methods do fuck up the THC levels. It is pretty common knowledge.

obvious? and common knowledge? not for all, obviously..


i dont know what many consider quick.


but air/hang drying in a low humidity, temps 65-75F dark place, gets me a quick dry. 4 days tops. I also make sure to cut down the size of big dense buds


from there, i can run my extractions.
i would rather run my material within the very first few days of drying.


i think over drying fucks up the material, along with improper storage.


i love microwaves, of all frequencies, but dont mix that with my weeds.


i think drying in oven, or above light, (in dark) may be done properly as well. My reasoning..... I boil of solvents with my resin at temps ranging from 90F-110F.. i know my resin is getting cooked at that temp, but it is very mininmal.


SO, i think one can use an oven, or space heater, to speed up the process, a heat gun would be perfect to monitor this to a T.


you didnt get this info in time vacpurge, but hope you got some good ideas for the next time!

interesting.

I ended up keeping it in the bag, but very open with a fan on it for a day.

forgot the fan the 2nd day and the bag had condensation on it and was getting very hot to the touch! weird.

after that I decided no more slacking, and did this with a fan on it for 24 hours. Its already very dry. I want it super dry though so ill give it another day or so.





then I will put it in the coffee grinder, chop it until its about joint consistency. and throw it in the queen bee!

ive got 18 cans of butane randomly stacked in the freezer... you wanna see a shit show, get your girlfriend to open the freezer and watch the cans of butane come tumbling down! LOLOLOL. then watch her try to get them all back in while others keep falling out, very fuckin funny :p

time is your best answer, or put down some poly and then put a screen door on top of 2 buckets on each end to hold up the screen above the poly then spread the trim over it.... thats how i dry the bullshit popcorn nugs and the trim that isnt in my trimmer, the stuff in my trimmer is dry in 2 days

well.. 50g of trim. 3 cans of butane. was still coming out a tiny bit yellowish and barely sticky but im pretty sure its done.. wasnt much to begin with.

the result is about 2g of oil!!!! pretty disappointed. 4% return. lowest ive ever seen.

ive got enough to do eight 50g runs... thats 16g of oil that im going to get from 390g. far from my 40g estimate.. what an eye opener!
