Topping a clone.

can you top clones? ive got a clone but its hard to see where to top it unlike with a seed grown plant.

i didnt cut it, i got it of a pal. its around 4-5 weeks old. its around 7 inches tall.. but as i said you normally top it on the 4th node, but my clones different its more like a mish mash if you get me.

Just cut off the growing tip. You can do it to any growing tip on the plant. Soon you'll have more side shoot growth and than more tops. I'd give her a week to recover and upper growth to resume.

What you are seeing is not a mish mash its just alternating nodes. Alternating nodes come from a mature plant. Hence the clones mother.

You can top it anywhere.

Have a read about FIM and LST. This is a good way of evening out uneven tops. By doing those you can direct growing hormones to the not so dominant tops. Making the not so dominant tops become dominant tops.
