Work ethic!
Work ethic - all the self righteous folk laud the rich and curse the poor with the same intonation. You don't suppose that anyone who is poor has a work ethic. Ah the magnanimous right, perfectly willing to defend the rich while ignoring the needs of the poor.

I dont curse the poor. The poor are not a class of people that cannot better themselves. Many people start or end up poor at some time in their lives and they pick themselves up and move on and become *not* poor.

What I curse is the welfare class. People who have no interest in working or making something of themselves and exist to ride the system for as much as they can get.

How many people in the US starved to death last year?

This year?

Any year within the last 50?

The CDC does not track deaths from starvation.

It's interesting how one of the bulwarks against starvation in this country is the Federal government and its food programs - and the right points to the fact that people don't starve in this country while working to destroy the programs that make that statement a truth.

They survey their beach on the ocean, arguing that the lifeguards should all be fired while they proudly proclaim that no one drowns.

Dude why are you so dramatic?
My God, I was defending the guy out of work (the poor), complimenting him on his work ethic.
Take a deep breath bro!

Yet many of those folks on "welfare" work.

"If someone worked their whole life, they will more than likely not starve" - and you know this because that person has a work ethic. They may not starve in this country (and they may) but one's work ethic alone might not save them from an early death.

When I fed the poor they called me a saint, when I asked why the poor have no food...they called me a communist.
Why the rich should not be put upon, they deserve everything they have and can get, they are never to be hated, and those who hate them are only envious (because of course the right is envious - they worship the rich as the ones who, if we will only laud them enough - will give us JOBS!). The rich are the clean ones, the upstanding ones, the celebrated ones who above all others are entitled.

the poor on the other hand are to be reviled, they are undeserving of anything, they are to be feared, they are the scourge of our society.

Thus proclaim the Christians in Modern America

Canndo, look at my post you quoted, notice the "more than likely" I have to put that in there because of guys like you!

You are so obsessed with being right, you pick out small technicalities in someones statement and attack it.
In essence you are creating a strawman, I consider this tactic intellectually disingenuous.

Who said anything about amassing wealth? Why is this the only measure, how about amassing love? how about amassing friends or experience or knowlege?

Some lefties don't want to "steal from the rich" any more than the rich steals from the poor.
You have amassed all the wealth you will ever need. Indeed, you are a very rich person.

Nitrogen.

Dude, you have the most dishonest debate tactics on this forum by far. Canndo is a perspicacious logician. Even Cannabineer ridicules you, I think you're the only person I have ever seen him ridicule and he is a centrist with no real political loyalties.

Now I know for a fact you're a 14 year old living with your folks and have never grown cannabis.

You'll sit there with your hand out and bullshit about how the rich are greedy.

Fuck that, I work for everything I own, why should I have to help you out cos you're a fucking bum?

Go enjoy life and find love, but not my on my cheque.

If you're disabled and actually unable to work thats fine but the working poor should work harder and get an extra job. Any idiot can get enough experience (the important factor in employment, not education) to advance up the ladder, even in Starbucks, McD or BK.

Buy hey Commie-do, keep positing excuses for your laziness, we're all listening and care SO MUCH ;)

it was the sentiment that you expressed there that was the key to my statement. as for my being disingenuous - I will still answer any questions in a forthright manner - how about you?

You seem happy enough to give it away tho...how about you just give all your money away?
No? Then stfu hypocrite.

Treat SS like an insurance policy, you get an optional safety net with an equivalency of your premium paid monthly/weekly.

No more flat screens, iPhones, etc for people on "Obama-bucks".

I consider my payments to the government for order in my society money well spent - clearly you do not. How much exactly do you pay out of your income to those who are truely deadbeats? I often wonder at those who are so upset about having "their money" taken and given to those who are not in need. Do they actually know how much is taken? Are they as upset over the money that is taken from them to give to corporations that are receiving "welfare"?

Progressive translation: Canndo is my buddy and I don't like you, so he is right!

If you can't see that canndo tried to make an argument out of thin air, it only tells me you are a hack yourself.
All you ever do is get pissed and throw insults at people who you disagree with.

And it has nothing to do with what political persuasion you are, if someone is wrong I'm going to point it out, I'm no different than most people on this forum who stand up for what they believe in. IMO Cannabineer got caught building a strawman, I replied, end of story, but apparently not for you!

BTW, why do you keep using nitrogen in you posts, when you learn to grow, you'll find out you were making an ass of yourself, now run along and go give UncleBuck some likes!
