Anything that is enduring a lot of excess hype will be taken advantage of with the price tags. There's always going to be a high demand of gamer nerds that are addicted to the games, so xbox live figures we got them stuck now, let's throw some bigger price tags in.

Thats how it went for this too guaranteed. too many people hooked on facebook, they've fallen into the trap. Now they're going to pay money to highlight shit on the internet. Fuck outta here haha.
Making me pay to highlight shit......fuckin internet man. fuckin internet.

"I guess we could ... If you look at how much of our page is taken up with ads compared to the average search query. The average for us is a little less than 10 percent of the pages and the average for search is about 20 percent taken up with ads ... That’s the simplest thing we could do. But we aren’t like that. We make enough money. Right, I mean, we are keeping things running; we are growing at the rate we want to." --Mark Zuckerberg

Bullshit you make enough money, cus if you did, you wouldn't charge alcoholic teenagers $2 to highlight their BFF jessies status update on facebook.

"FuCk FaKe PeOple, FucKK Mai dumazz parentzzzz, SmOkE Drugs EveRyDay, KyLe ansswer mai txts!!"

I'm not clear what FB means by highlighting posts. I post shit, or my friends do, and it's easily seen on the news feed. Pay for what?

Probably will glue it to the top of everyone else's pages like "sponsored" links in google.

Wow, I could care less about that. Nothing I have to say is so important I'd pay for that. And nothing my friends say is that important either. It sounds like paying for a "look at me look at me!" moment. High schoolish at best

FB seems pretty high shcoolish to me, so this is probably right up their alley! lol!

I could see if you are a business or are trying to promote something, MAYBE! I would think there would be more effective ways to promote a business though. Who knows????:?

I would not invest into face book as a business. They legally can not sell information due to privacy laws so what do they have to offer as a business. Just the advertisements that are posted with selective search options. It is a good revenue source but i find it hard to believe that they would be able to make any profit outside of what it makes already. People are not going to pay for special posts or games. If they make Facebook games that cost money like apps on phones it would be a fad. They would have to compete with the apps on phones and iPods which have countless third party entrepreneurs. Facebook will flop as a company unless they develop their own smartphone or a exclusive device that you must purchase to connect to Facebook. They can sell the devices like the kindle sold exclusively for books. To get the market of growing smartphone uses they could sell software to droid and apple who would have to pay a royalty to Facebook for every product sold containing the software.

until they consider something like that i wouldn't touch it.

Research Kitty's Status Update: "Hello, I'm breathing today and have 23 chromosome pairs...."

I get heckled a lot because I dont use social media. The same people who heckle me about it are the ones that are putting in 6 hours a day on the site. (And the same people who dont say they spend 6 hours a day on the site say they dont spend that much time on the site but rack up that much time there on the cell phone alone each day!).

But now, you can pay $2 to let other people know you breath and have normal DNA, too! Who knows, maybe today your shoelace will come untied and you can tell the entire world!

They cant sell it, sure, but they can re-package it so that the personal data is elimitated and your left with groups of people. Groups of people who buy video games. Groups that buy surf boards. Groups that buy cupcakes with bacon toppings.

And then they can sell ads and services and products to those demographics and they make B A N K.

Of course. Facebook is THE greatest market research resource right now. It has 90% of the work already done for market research analysts. They buy tons of filtered information from facebook, It's like a gold mine to them.

I just figured it out...... wow the whole time it was so obvious those bastards.

They left the site free for years to let people join and collect data and post. Think about the fact that you can not delete anything on Facebook once its posted you can only unpublish it. The same goes for accounts you cant delete them you can only suspend your account. With all the embarrassing things that have got caught in the Facebook web and the growing use of employers using Facebook to research potential employees there can only be one thing that is going to happen.

Facebook will charge money to permanently delete information save on their server!:fire:

lol......JK

Quit sending me multiple private messages and following me around. Its a little creepy. I havent found the templates, and have looked on two computers. Perhaps you should grab photoshop and control n for new image, then "t" for text. You can type anything you want on the labels! :)

What a shitty business model. Anyone who says this line should be laughed out of the room. Or actually, anyone who believes it.

Like I said I don't use FB but some of my friends do. I just assumed that they had to pay to play Farmville.
