Election results fixing the election
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjDL-dqND2M <-- that WAS a programmer testifying to Congress that the Florida election he worked on, he was asked if he could fix the results. Now Censored of course. So the sheep stay in their herds. I will try and find it. but like Newt's speech to Congress on executing pot smokers and dealers re routed to his crappy smiling face telling us what a fluffy terd he is....

Can someone name 1 civilization that the citizens, subjects, inhabits, or whatever you want to call it, are as free as us today?

It sounds to me that you all are just a bunch of outcast lazy fucks who don't understand how to play this game called life. Go do something with yourselves and you'll realize how fucking lucky we are..Jesus

That argument is inherently flawed. Just because we enjoy more daily luxuries in comparison to past societies doesn't mean we shouldn't try to better ours.

there is nothing incompatible with his sentiment and the desire to better our country.

i think what he's getting at is that some people take for granted that we have it pretty good. goes along with what i tell people all the time who decry the "lack of freedom" we enjoy, which is "you should move to syria in protest of our lack of freedoms".

In essence, it's saying "other places have it worse so you have no right to complain.". That's flawed, and I don't see how that's compatible with the desire to better our country. If it weren't for people complaining, nothing would get done.

What more do you want? A golden fucking throne to shit in every morning?

While you have a toilet to shit in, a stove to cook food on, a bed to sleep in.
Your government provides you with welfare, food, and a place to sleep if you cannot make ends meet.

While you bitch and moan about how fucked up our system is, there are current systems that enslave their people. Governments that don't give a shit about the parentless child walking around naked without any food. Governments that would rather improve military might than feed their citizens.
Instead of ALWAYS complaining about our system why don't you embrace the fuck out of it, cause hundreds of millions of people would kill to live here.

i don't think he's saying you have no right to complain, i think he's saying to not start and stop at only complaining. go march or occupy something. do a hunger strike in front of the white house, whatever.

Of course Ron Paul wins by a land slide for pot heads.
Most of those pot-heads also dont realise that most of Ron Pauls policies would be watered down to fuck if he was elected. Certain things could happen, certain things you'd need massive compromise and certain things (gold standard for example) is little more than an ideologically sound but practically speaking impossible tasks.

He is a step in the right direction on the civil liberties front tho, which would be the easiest policies to "get through".

I personally think a referendum to amend the Constitution to allow for the US Government to print money is also a step in the right direction. The Fed needs to die (it seems to print more money for foreign "entities" than for US domestic, meaning "yous" get "our" inflation), and the Government needs to put it to the people whether they print more money or not. Also the Fed needs to "unswap" the dollars for euros trades theyve undertaken, the Euro is shakey as fuck, and France seems to be moving WAY more left...meaning they probably aint going to want to be the big player in the "Euro Bailout Game" thats Sarky and Merkel have been playing.

I think if Ron Paul more played the "Realist Libertarian" tune instead of the "Hardcore Old Skool Libertarian", he'd probably get a massive majority of Americans to vote for him purely because he seems to be a genuinely "common sense" guy.

the gold standard is only sound if you are an ideologue. it doesn't work in the real world.

He is a step in the right direction on the civil liberties front...
try telling that to the citizens of our country who enjoy the civil rights that he opposes.

...he seems to be a genuinely "common sense" guy.

You miss the "practically speaking impossible tasks" part in your own quote? Retard.

What? By giving choice to the States instead of the Federal machine? What works for the people in Cali doesnt necessarily work for the people in Alabama.

potato.

I don't think I'm ready for hope, it is causing cognitive dissonance, does not compute. "Change You can Believe In" is as good as it gets.

I agree but I would like to point out that the same applies to Obama. He has been fighting an uphill battle since he has been in office and he has been one of the only candidates who (at least at some point in time and at least ambiguously) has opposed cannabis prohibition and the wars. As for economic policies and solutions, I doubt any president will have the power to ever exact any change in this country or in another, that is already under the control of powers outside any border.
