No, having likes made the rep system meaningless. The value has been reinstilled and now the posts that were once repped, are again repped. =)

rep was always meaningless. now it's even more meaningless because people have an itchy like finger and just toss the rep out to quell their ocd. i don't want to rep every funny video but it would be nice to like them. likes can be handed out indefinitely. rep has a cap. i don't need to be told how much approval is appropriate to hand out in a given day and i don't need to be told how often is appropriate to approve of a certain poster. buncha bullshit is what it is.
