Hi guys.
I have recently purchased a wilma system..prior to this i grew in Coco.
I am confused on how to use a EC Meter..i have read what i can but am stupified by it.
I have been trying to use small amounts of nutes Canna Aqua A&B,Rhiztonic and controlling ph without a meter.
My young ladies leafs look wrinkly and im guessing thats EC so i bought a meter.
My Reservoir is 1.7 and my tap water is 0.3.
Can anyone give me any advice?

Thanks for getting back to me Bigz.
I remedy this by adding ph adjusted water..is that right?
What EC would you recommend?

i use PPM not EC. Try pming one of the Hydro mods. And yes just plain ph adjusted water will lower your ppm (not sure if it has that much of a direct effect but from what i assume ec and ppm are the same thing just different ways of reading it.)

ah ok. so if they are still young in veg then 750 is too high, but flowering that would be fine. really depends on what your plants tell you.

u can hit 2.8 ec in flower really depends on ur room co2 light per sqaure foot water quailtly ph tricks also strain is huge too many things mention here good contitions can only take crap so far start with best u can get for level expertize n ull go far

1.7 is too high dude.

don't follow the strengths on the bottles. Just use the ratios of nutrients (A:B)

You can go 0.6 for newly rooted/small clones.
Bump it up to 0.8 as they establish
Run 1.0 to 1.4 for full veg/flower

edit: some indica varieties can take a lot more food than that, but it won't necessarily mean higher yields.
Just feed them what they need without showing deficiency, and then work on lighting/ventilation/etc to improve yield

My lighting and ventilation is great.
Im using the same set up as i used for coco.
I have a 600w dual spectrum air cooled through a aerowing reflector.
A 6" exhaust and a 4" intake fan.
The only new bit is the Wilma system and the ec knowledge.
I have the 16 pot Wilma but im growing less and bigger in a DR120 grow tent.
Oh yeah!! im growing Chocolope that im going to top twice.
Any tips on how to use Wilma or growing hydro is much appreciated.

watch and listen to your plants slowly raise ur ec .1every 4-6 days depending on total amount fresh water added (75 fresh water added change res )lack of nutes is fatser fix than overfeeding 2.0ec 1000ppm on my pen is max in veg and flower i just tweak levels of N to increase my P,K needs 1200 max if strain permits this h202 is ur best friend 1ml/lstarting decays 20%day1 50%2nd day replace this amount also larger res helps against ec spikes ph flux and even lockouts as before mentioned is controlled rince from top down weekly with 75% nutes for max salt to be removed as consent ph adjustments are wrong and can cause thier own problems 5.6-6.0 5.8 is optimal for most plants needs

Im really sorry and im sure im being dumb but i had trouble following you Painkillerman.
I didnt understand...75 fresh water added change res
I dont know what h2o2 is?
Whats decays?
Rinse from top down with 75% nutes for max salt to be removed.
Could you explain a bit more please?

H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide -- use 29% horticultural peroxide -- and the peroxide is unstable, so it naturally turns into water and oxygen over time when in dilute solutions, and when exposed to biological activity.
