Seedling Burned Tips, NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE!

Hi guys,

I am having a problem with my plant, the tip of the leaves is getting burned and I am not sure what the problem is. This is my first grow so I have absolutely no experience other than what I have been able to learn on line. I am growing in soil as you will be able to see in the pics and using a bag seed in hopes that if it was successful I would grow better stuff.

In any case, I am using a mixture of worm castings, bat guano and organic matter and yesterday I measured the PH and it was 7.0. Using tap water and the PH is also 7.0, watering every three days or when the soil is obviously dry. The plant is 19 days old and I have only fed it once, 6 days ago with a 30% solution of a 30.10.10 nutrient (NPK). For lights I am using a 90W LED from Sunshine Systems plus two 200 watts CFL in a grow box which I built myself. The temperature inside the grow box varies from 74 to 84 F.

I have 4 other seedlings but those are about a week old and do not show any symptoms.

Like I said, I am not sure what I am doing wrong so I ask for your help and experience.

All of your comments and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

you cooked em with nutes

you shouldnt feed a plant untill week 3 usually or if its yellowing due to a deficiency. Flush em out and leave em...they should recover...growth will be stunted for a lil while.

Agreed. The only thing I will feed a sprout is superthrive. 1 drop per 8 Oz water. Only for first 3-4 weeks.

there is already nutrients in your soil...and you added more @ 1/3 strength nutes on top of that...overkill. they are too small to be hitting them with that much nutrients there should be enough in your soil already.

like Dizzle stated.... flush out the soil...run water through until run off runs clear apx 3 times normal...don't add anymore nutrient. until they need it, like when they start to fade from green.

Thank you for your input!

Oh guys, I think you are right, I just realized that the nutrient I used is not 30.10.10 but 20.20.20, just checked the container... stupid pothead mistake! flushing ASAP. Thanks again, will let you know how they develop.

Your Great! Keep it up! Your'll get! I used like for seedling Light WArrior or sunshine mix 4
2 or 3 weeks then i use ffof. I'm not into all that mixing this and that! good luck!
My main problem is the cost of importing those products, I wish they would be easy to find over here...

Honestly, I do not expect a big harvest since this is a bag seed and first grow but if I get any harvest at all I would be delighted!

Thanks a lot and good vibes your way too!

nothing wrong with bagseeds... even a bagseed had a name at one point in time. It might even have hybrid vigour and kick ass.
more chances of having a hermie though...

They arent that badly hurt, you should be able to get a nice harvest if you read lots and figure out what you gotta do

Cool, Thanks. I will post some pics tomorrow, 24 hrs after flushing...

I'm a newbie as well, and your second paragraph says it all. You're using worm castings, guano and other organic material which almost surely contain nutrients as well. From the pics I have to assume the pot these are in are around a quart. That size of pot with that much material containing nutrients would probably last you a minimum of a month. So at 13 days you fed them nutes and just 4-7 days later(the time it takes most plants to show any symptoms of overnuting) they began to show these signs. I imagine your four other seedlings haven't show these signs because you haven't feed them yet. If you were using say just peat, perlite and another medium that contains no nutes I'd say feed at 10 days, but your soil is plenty hot with nutes so even if you just water to attempt to flush your overnuting you may have issues. Let them dry out completely in my opinion then feed only with water. This is not from experience just basic botany.
