Dying Plant? PLEASE HELP... first time grower

My Plant is 16 days old and was doing awesome up until 3 days ago. I noticed the leaves started to curl downward. I immediately thought it might be over watering but I am not sure. 2 days later the first leaves (embryonic leaves?) started yellowing along with the first serrated leaves and also one of the leaves on the second set curled up. I am using an organic soil without adding any extra nutes. I am using two 26w CFLs on 24hr lights on lighting. The plant is still growing but with the leaves not being as perky as usual and the yellowing of the bottom leaves i am totally nervous... Any suggestions on what I should change? PLEASE HELP ME

How big are your containers? How often/much are you watering it? Are you ph'ing the water and letting it get to room temp before you give it to your plants?

What are your day and night time temps? Relative humidity?

Why are you giving it 24/0 light? Plants need time to rest just like people. Give it 20/4 at most or 18/6 at least. That's not the sole issue but could be adding to whatever it is.

Need more information.

Why are you telling him exactly how much to water when you don't even know how big his containers of soil are, what the temps are, what the relative humidity is, etc etc??

If so let it rest for some time when feeding again in a couple of days, as the chlorine might be causing the problem...

I think I was asking a valid question. The amount of water a plant receives in soil is based upon the size of the container mostly, but also the temps and humidity, the lighting, etc.

Apparently, you are a royal piece of shit with a real attitude problem who provides incomplete, bullshit information to his fellow growers.

I wouldn't listen to anything this guy says if I were you, miboi09.

This is also not accurate. Highly chlorinated water can cause problems, but they don't look like that.

The reason you let it sit out is to get to room temp, so it doesn't shock the plants.

10in containers filled half way, watering every 2 days, no ph'ing, temps range from 70-78 degrees, not sure on the humidity, i am giving 24hr light because i read that it was ok to do. i planned on flowering the plant after 3 weeks. The plant was doing fine on the 24hr schedule for the first 2 weeks and was growing beautifully...

How much are you watering every two days?

You NEED to ph your water. It is most likely a combination of overwatering/nutrient lockout due to incorrect ph.

Get some lemon juice and some ph drops. Use about 1 tsp of lemon juice per gallon of water, but check the ph after to make sure, your water could be different than mine.

And change your timer to 20/4 at least. I run 18/6 for veg.

there are drainage holes, but i don't use enough water for it to drain out. i pour a little let it soak then pour a little more

That's your problem, combined with ph and 24/7 lights on.

Cannabis needs to be watered until there is some run off, and then left alone for 2-3 days at least before being watered again.

I water my soil plants twice weekly, that's it.

More water, ph'd properly, BUT LESS OFTEN :joint:

I'm not saying ure wrong mate.There are two types if water, hard and soft, so when in doubt its better not to take a chance.
