yah, actually, you're wrong, mr nice isn't a breeder, but shanti is, and he's the breeder who used to be half of greenhouse seeds back in the 90's when ghsc made all of the cup winning strains.. it was all of shanti's hard work and genius that made greenhouse who they were back then, but in the mid 90's he left arjan and greenhouse seeds and went on with howard marks, who is actually mr nice, the famed smuggler, to form mr nice, also with neville shoenmaker, another infamous breeder..
but anyhoo''s, on to the op's question.. like someone else already said, one company or person will create a killer strain, like your sample of ww.. it sells well all over the world, but sense the cannabis world is generally unregulated per se, many other companies and breeders will come along and try to use the name ww to sell what ever genetics that they maybe using under the same name..
of course it's impossible for every breeder to have the same exact parents so i don't see how they could possibly have the same strains.. it's all bs, and it really does pay to do your homework when looking to buy certain strains..
it's not to say that sometimes a knock off strain can't be better than the original, but that rarely happens, just make sure to do your work...

OK!!!! my order went through. im so fucking stoked!!! im going to be tripping to the mail box everyday til they arrive. they kicked me some SICK freebies!! a Northern Lights Autoflowering fem, and some other fem seeds. a Blue Mystic, seems nice!! and a Ice!! im sooo stoked. i bought a t-shirt while i was there. now i need to research fem strains... i heard some where they have a chance of being a hermy? how much truth to that is there? can anyone point me to a thread? if not ill post one and see what's up!! thanks again to all whom which helped!!

While we are talking about knockoffs and orginal strains. Who do you guys feel should be credited with what i see is the most passed around strain Northern Lights? I know it cant be narrowed down to a single person but what breeder to you feel has perfected the strain?

that strain is on my wishlist. my goal is to find the strains i liked growing up, and always had a hard time finding. but by the original breeder, if possible. i will compile a list soon. but i would like to be able to place an order before i research. so i have to save up some flow. but i would LOVE the original Bubblegum and Cotton Candy!!!!

I agree with you 100%, i would like the orginals if possible too but im just finding a hard to trust anyone especially when their trying to sell something. I would love to find the orginal bubblegum or cotton candy, i have never had the luxury to sample either

i'd like to try dr. atomics ...and sagamartha (spl) ...and homegrown fantaseeds ...and the elite cut that's been in europe for ages ...sensi has a bomb version.

ok! i do not know if that made to much sense, but basically i have noticed that many different seed banks sell White Widow (using the WW as an example). but i know Serious Seeds is the one bank that is credited for creating it. wouldn't one want to get the strain from the bank that created it? wouldn't that make the most sense?? ho come many banks sell the Widow, is it just the Widow? i see many banks that sell Blueberry also. and Dj Short is the one who created it. so wouldn't i want to get it from him? im kinda confused on where to get seeds from with all the seeds banks selling the same genetics. is it different phenotypes? what is it different parents to make said strain? please provide me with as much info as possible. i would like to start collecting seeds from actual seed banks, and not just the lucky ones i find in the bag. thanks in advance!!!

DJ Short did soem work with some of the dutch seed companies, and legaly released genetics and name to them, which is why they sell Blueberry with DJs description

i ended up buying my ALL TIME FAV White Widow! after a few hours of research and a very generous link from RACERBOY!! (mad props man, thanks a million for pointing me in the right direction!!), guided me to the link at Attitude. i also purchased a White Skunk. i had to. i saw it and it was an impulse buy. i was going to go with the Super Skunk, but ive had that within the last few months, so i passed for now. they kicked me 4 seeds!! 4 of which sound sooooo awesome! ones that i would never ever buy. for my UFO's im getting a Blue Mystic, an Ice, a Special Queen #1 and something im really stoked about, im not big into the auto flowering strains, but since it s a Northern Lights im sooooo happy!! this was my second order this week. both impulse buys. my first order was from Irrie Seeds. from them i ordered the original NYCD f3, a UK Cheese x 98 Aloha White Widow and a Pre 98' Bubba Kush x 98 Aloha White Widow. i love widow. i had an idea to try all the Widows Attitude sells, just to see exactly what the differences are. ive had Widow a few times over the years, and every time there is major difference, but i know there Widow. they all have that Widow-esc look. and all that yummy taste. i even had a purple Widow years before the purple craze hit. it was beautifully manicured. every bud was like a little prize. you pull back a sugar coated leaf to find the hairs and calyxes. it was some amazing shit!!! but, anyways. that is what i ordered. im a little ripped so sorry for the long response, lmfao!!!!!

when those arrive i will most def be starting and keeping a journal. i started to keep track on paper, but i started missing days and eventually stopped all together. its rather hard to kep up with pen and paper when you are on the laptop all day, lol!!
