well any poll can be made to get what ever info you need..this one in fact only has one person being named OBAMA ...you chose a Repuke but which one ???? Obama VS who ??? don't know...I bet if you named every Repuke running as a choice this poll would look a lot different.but I guess the OP knew that and didn't have the balls to do a fair poll...so yes this polled is very much rigged and actually Obama did great to get the amount he did...If you wanted to see a REAL poll put all the Republicans name up the same why you did Obama and you will see how different this poll would be ...keep it real unless you like being fake
If I put Ron Paul vs Obama in this forum, I think you and I both know Ron Paul would of won and by a larger margin. This same poll I put up in the last election would of likely went Obama's way. After the primaries are over I will definitely do another poll. This is the only realistic gauge at the moment - why? Well, many people are lining up on sides during the primary. However, once the primary is over and a runner has been decided the entire party falls behind the runner for the most part. I doubt this year will be any different. I do not look forward to Romney being elected. If I put Democrat vs Republican it would of ended up the same.

I don't like any of the choices given. Both parties suck. I would have to see the actual choices. Everyone's assuming Obama will run but maybe he will not. I would have to see the actual choices given, I don't follow party lines.
So your answer is Undecided. I don't see how that was so very complicated.

If he is the best choice at the time. Anyone answering that question today is far too biased to offer anything to the discussion and not all that helpful to the election process. Those people tend to allow their feelings to dictate their decision. Thus they make poor ones.

But I have to say, as the incumbents and 2 PhDs the Dems have a solid ticket. But let's see what the Republicans end up Producing. If they manage to elect a strong and moderate candidate during the Primary we might end up with a difficult decision. That would be a good thing. But if the GOP elects a radical candidate, then I think the choice will be pretty easy to make for reasonable folks.

um how about track record

History states that a democrat will be re-elected....We have to pay attention to the real issues and not the bickering going on between politicians because at the end of the day they're just that million dollar a year "PUBLIC SERVANTS." For those of you that would like to know what a true "PUBLIC SERVANT" is go to non profit organizations that deal solely with the indigent. I know Attorneys that have passed up 100k plus a year jobs with full benefits to work for the public...I LIVE WITH ONE!! These politicians are not public servants but in fact business men and women that are raking in millions while we sit and watch them bicker over BS!! Use your brains people....There is uncertainty about future taxes and medical expenses for business owners so even though they're sitting on a lot of hiring money they do not know what their future costs will be....can we take a wild guess how many business men and women we have as politicians? enough said!! CORPORATE AMERICA KEEPS STRIPPING RIGHTS IN THE WORK PLACE!! Were all pawns...take it or leave it
History states no such thing. You can take statistics and make them say whatever you want. Here are some facts I lifted from someone else, but contain the relevant information:

"Depends how you define it.
12 Presidents have served a single elected term - John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, James K Polk, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Rutherford B Hayes, Benjamin Harrison, William Howard Taft, Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter and George HW Bush.
4 Presidents - Theodore Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Harry S Truman and Lyndon B Johnson - have succeeded to the Presidency through death, and then gone on to serve a single elected term of their own.
3 Presidents were elected to second terms but failed to complete them. - Abraham Lincoln and William McKinley served only a few weeks or months of their second terms before being assassinated, and Richard M Nixon, resigned 19 months into his second term.
5 Presidents - William H Harrison, Zachary Taylor, James A. Garfield, Warren G Harding, and John F. Kennedy - died during their first terms and so had no opportunity to seek a second.
5 Presidents - John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, Andrew Johnson, Chester A. Arthur, and Gerald Ford - succeeded from the Vice-Presidency but did not win elected terms of their own.
That gives 29 Presidents who were "single-termers" by one definition or another."

Even if you just use elected presidents running for a 2nd term, it still isn't for sure. I mean, hell, I could point out that 8 presidents have died in office out of the 43. Or that 4 have been assassinated. That would give the president a 18.6% chance of dying in the next 1-5 years. Or a 9.3 percent chance of being assassinated. Or you could point out that since WW2 no president has won a reelection with higher than a 7.2 jobless rate. Or perhaps that Joe Young is only the 27th left handed center fielder who has caught 20 balls while having all the letters of his name equal 8 letters.

well I started a poll listing all candidates..that way we can actually see who likes who and not some unnamed Republican..more realistic

I see the poll is closed but I would have said yes, I'll vote for Obama again. Although I am disappointed in Obama thus far, there is absolutely no one on the GOP side who I could fathom voting for.
Not to make excuses for Obama, but he really has not had a chance to do anything. Health care was a miracle, and he did have to give up a lot to get it. More tax cuts, extensions thereof. First couple years he was dealing with global economic depression looming, the last year dealing with an extremely hostile House and the party of No!
Obama has not been agressive enough imo. During the debt ceiling crisis he caved when he should not have. We needed more revenue and he should have insisted on it. Let the consequences of no compromise be on the GOP where it belongs. In retrospect, it didn't matter that he caved anyway...we got downgraded and markets are freefalling.
The fact is, a president needs a second term to accomplish anything of substance (health care notwithstanding). As it is with ANY president, he has acted with reelection in mind. It is during a second term, when he or she is not concerned with reelection, that a president can get anything done.

Obama wasn't the only crook making speeches in Michigan. Mafia goon Jimmy Hoffa threatens the Tea Party. I wonder why Sammy the Bull didn't get up there next? more proof Obama is a piece of shit. But as long as he's stealing FOR you instead of stealing YOUR money it doesn't matter, huh?

Too bad you didn't title this thread Do You Realize that the Two Parties Are Nothing More Than Two Sides of the Same Dirty Coin?

A few, like Ron Paul are the exceptions. Sadly, the cards are stacked against them, unless WE do everything we can to wake our brain-dead friends up.

Ron Paul would never ever ever Wait until his second term to bring the troops home just so he can have job security like obama has.

I don't know what Ron Paul would do but I would tend to agree with you. I was referring to what every president in my lifetime has done. That's 10 or 11 of 'em.

The poll was made to see what the forum thought or the options they are going to be given when they vote. I am 100% Ron Paul.

But..he isn't going to get the nomination. That is the reality. Will he then run as an independent? I am thinking yes, he will.

He won't. Why? He knows the reality is if he doesn't win the nomination and its Obama vs Romney/Perry that republicans win. If he goes in 3rd party Obama wins. He knows all 3 of those people are douche bags, however, would prefer a republican.

Good points Carthoris, and you are probably right.

Yeah..Obama changed his tune dramatically on several things after being sworn in. I'm sure the president elect is also filled in on a lot of things. But right after taking office they must get one helluva an eye opener.
