Idk it just died I'm not sure if it couldn't handle the nutes or if there wasn't enough sunlight but it just keeled over a couple days ago.

Ha it's no biggy It wouldn't have done anything because the rest of the plant was in budding and it was trying to veg, it coulda really fucked with the plant.

FL just kills your plants my bud wasn't worth the price of the seeds
This statement is simply not true. There are many people that grow using only Floros with great results and one person's single experience is not enough to rely on when making decisions on lighting. I got some killer White Widow by using only CFL. It didn't yield very much (a little over 1oz) but I also only vegged the plant for eight days after bringing my clones home, it was in a 8" pot and it was my very first grow so I made a lot of mistakes. There are many people on this site alone that get decent yields and great quality bud using CFL and/or Floro lights.

Those 'Guru' lights are HELLA expensive so unless you have a ton of cash to drop, stick with what you have and hone your skills.

I'm not saying the lights aren't good, just saying they're expensive.

ive seen people get better results with cfl than others do with hps, ive seen great cfl grows and many that can pull 5-6 ozs easy

Fa sho...

I'm going to finish my autos under either CFL or t5 lights too because I want to see if the experience I've gained over the past 8mos makes any difference in the final results. A couple people were saying I should use the 150 HPS I have just sitting for the autos but I'm not going that route with them.

Man all these people on here that hate on T5s or say anything adverse about flowering with them either havent tried it or they dont know how to grow. Here is my grow in a 2x3 screen with a 4 foot 6 bulb T5. This is at 5 weeks and the final yield was 318 grams. Do the math. That is 6 grams shy of 1 per watt. I dont see too many people coming close to that with their magical HPS lights.

fox tails arent bad, they usually happin at near the end of the plants life, its just a last spurt of growth really. ive grown in extreme heat indoors and never got the foxtails from heat it could also happin from the genetics.
lol i been gone a while, but thought id add that from what ive found, this guy got it dead on. The way i see it is its just more calyxes. more calyxes = more weight =D

and ya forget the naysayers. The genetics and gardener are the 2 most important things to a grow. Someone once said something i like "A good gardener can grow a mj plant with a garden hose and a flashlight". Funny, and insightful!

That's a great harvest, bigv. You didn't keep the canopy that far from the lamp though (as seen in your pictures), did you?

Yeah, that's definitely a nice grow. Were you using a mix of color temps or all 3000K? I ask because I was thinking about buying some 3000K bulbs for my t5 and flowering my autos with it. Just wasn't sure if I should replace all 4 or 2 or 3, was thinking of just doing all 4 in 3000K.
