I don't think the problem is with the seeds. Just stick them in the fuckin soil or coco or whatever medium you're planting in. paper towel method is dumb and can lead to mold/cold which kills seedlings.

why do people always make seed germination so difficult?

They were just trying to warn you that you were talking to a snitch, or someone that lied about snitching, don't get pissed off. Common courtesy amongst pot heads, do what you want.

I just soak the pellets and squeeze and reshape them until the weigh around 38-40 grammes and are 2" tall then i just poke a 5-6mm hole in the top and just drop the seed staight from the packet into the jiffy and cover them up with some more jiffy peat and put them in a propogator in the dark at 74* and around 80% humidity and they always pop the surface as sprouts within 72-85hrs then i will plant the jiffys in small 4" pots and fill with soil around the pellet and then straight under my 400w hps.
Nice and simple and very effective. I think people soak the jiffys untill they are water logged then put the seeds in and thats how to kill them. Once you get used to it its real easy and quick and hassle free.

I start seeds in cups of soil with holes in bottom. Poke a hole about 1 inch deep and pop a seed in it. Kick some soil over hole and water until drainage. Put a sandwich baggie over the cups top to make a humidity dome and your done. Best way IMO

wow, glad i started this thread. lmao...thanks for all the input guys, im pretty sure the seeds i got were pretty fucking old to begin with.
Im also glad to hear that a lot of you dont like the paper towel method. I was kind of skeptical about that myself, this is the first time ive ever grown anything and i never heard of doing such a thing with any kind of seed.
I have had 8 more seeds germinating in a paper towel for about 20 hours now and 4 of them are showing root so im getting ready to plant them.
I also just ordered some white widow seeds and i think when i get those im just going to plant them directly in the soil like SS says, because he seems to be a pretty knowledgeable guy...
and no fabfun you guys didnt run me up a hill with the arguing, lol...i had some shit to do then my wife wanted to play pool so i just got a chance to get on here...
