Best Out Door Strain?

Hey I'm new & I was just wondering what your favorite out door strain is and if you would recommend it outdoors in Ontario, I was also wondering if you knew any mixed outdoor seed packs which you could recommend.

Thanks for the help, Gfnns

I'm doing White Widow, StarTrek (Stargazer x Trainwreck), & Mazar i Shariff. Out of the 3, the Widow & Trek have by far been the best. White Widow is very compact with lots of budsites, easy to grow (loves nitrogen), and the buds and leaves are frosted the second they appear during flowering. She started flowering sooner than the others which is also a plus, as you won't go too late into fall. The StarTrek is another good one. The only girl in my garden that I didn't top, and I'm glad too. Medium height, with excellent xmas tree like branching and frosted buds that are currently coming off somewhat fruity, although as they mature they will get more of that dank trainwreck flavor. The fruity flavor has to be some of the Star genetics. In the end, it kinda comes down to what you're looking for in a strain. There's SO MANY great new hybrids out there from various seedbanks. You'll have hundreds to sift thru and choose from. Go look around, and most will tell you what is recommended for outdoors, what it's growing specs are, and all the characteristics of that specific strain.

Hope this helps!

I was able to obtain the White Widow & StarTrek (one each) from two very experiened and very generous growers at a weekly meeting for medical marijuana patients, as I am a cardholder. If you are a cardholder as well, you should have programs such as that in your area that you can goto, and would be a great way to talk to local growers and obtain a strain that they've already had years of success growing in your climate. If that is not an option for you, I would then suggest seedbanks that ship to Canada. My Mazar i Shariff is a breed by Reeferman that I purchased from a bank located in Amsterdam, cost $150. That's the one thing about ordering from a seedbank tho, you get what you pay for. Someone can give you a clone and tell you it's whatever they want and it won't be the real genetics. So if you want something specific then def find a seedbank that will ship to where you're at.

Another tip for you that I forgot ... Due to the cold temps up in Ontario, you simply cannot grow something like my Mazar outdoors unless you do a greenhouse grow and have heaters. This is because the Mazar takes til Early-Mid November to finish. A great trait to look for, will be an 'EARLY' cross. Early Buddha, Early Girl, Early Purple Kush, ... There are lots of early crosses out there now, most are fat & finished in mid sept. I kinda wish I had early strains in my garden so that I could be harvesting around this time. But ya, for your area that should really work well for you and I'd def keep that in mind when looking.

S.A.D. from Sweet seeds is doing well for me this year! Very hardy and pest resistant! Hope to harvest Sept 25. Also have an Applejack and Super Lemon Haze that are in bucketts and doing very well but I baby these and can visit everyday so I wouldnt recomend them for an outdoor grow that you couldnt check very often.

This is Durban Poison from Dutch Passion, at the 41st parallel. It's going to be the first to finish from my grow. It's a little on the small side because it wasn't started until mid-June.

a friend that gave me clones last week off his train wreck, says hes harvesting his in 5 weeks..
I'm sure you'll love it! My StarTrek is only about 50% or so Trainwreck, but the flowers look very similar to pics of the orignal wreck (haven't grown that one before, either). I will say, this hybrid right now is giving off an amazing grapefruit-like odor and I think will by far be one of my best girls =)

Very nice! I have my first white widow going right now. Should be finishing outdoors in 4-5 weeks. She was a frosted beauty ever since the first buds came out. It was incredible to see such quick presence of THAT MANY trichomes so early into flower, but I'm not complaining! =)

Very nice that you had three different autoflowers going. I can't wait to get my first autoflower strain ordered in a month here, or so. I already have so many strains to work with, but I'm really impressed with all I've learned lately as to what the autos offer so I'm looking to make that a cool new addition to my garden. It'll be nice to have smoke literally 60 days from seedling. Talk about awesome genetics! Anyway, feel free to throw some more info about those if ya want. I'd love to hear it. Better yet, rather than hijack this thread, I posted my own 'Best autoflowering strain out there' thread where people can post all the auto strains they've grown and share opinions. Feel free to post there and let me know!

why are my lemon hazes flowering so slow.. im at 41degrees lat, too.. they are 12 feet tall. one topped, one not. the topped one is slowly coming along budes EVERYWHERE but no girth at all... very very stretched out.. the untopped plant is barely past preflowers... HH and BK are boomin! (still not mega fat like i want though)
