Leaves appear stressed & strange whiteish buildup on leaves! helppp!

heres my set up.

36- 5 gal buckets in two seperate 3x6 rows (same room)
running hydroton with Hydro farm nutes
air stone w/sub pump w/tubing etc
55 gallon res (filled to 40-45 gals)
2- 1000 lights 1- 1.5 feet above plants
all walls sealed with reflective white mylar.

heres where im at,
First put in purple urkle clones around 2/8/2010

lost a few here and there and put new hogs breath clones on 2/25/2010

then put in 12 lavender on 3/4/2010

so far on the growth stage of nutes (3rd stage) about to move to aggressive growth (4th and final stage before transition).

the Lavender plants are thriving but the urkles are still having trouble. not sure why or what i can do. this is my first time doing hydro and the buckets system but im working with my other friend whos done the buckets system before and has been coaching me but 3 weeks a month hes out of town so im kinda on my own. Pleaseee let me know if theres anything i can do to less stress them. ha

starting to see stress in the leaves (at least i think thats what it is) and dont know where its coming from. also have the white stuff and dont know what that is either.

just ran a "pest" killer that was kinda gnarley and not like safe and friendly like soft soap because i had mites going crazy on the urkles. not sure if that could be doing anything bad to the plants.

also notice the "burn" effect going on the outside of the one leave i posted. looks like its burned but not sure what todo....

thanks for viewing this and this is my first post on here so be easy on me. :)

let me know if i can give u anymore info that will help you guide me

Hope you don't have powder mold..google a couple of powdermold pictures and if thats what it is I would go with a 10% milk solution prayed around any mold you see to kill it and avoid and more damage..what did you use to kill the mites?

Powdery mildew is rampant in Cali, & introducing all those clones makes it real possible that they brought some spores in.

There are many different ways to get rid of it. Search powdery mildew on these forums and you should come up with alot of info, pics and advice.

Also, if these clones were picked up in a dispensary, let us know which one, perhaps its a known problem with clones from a particular disp that we are familiar with.

Good luck.

The milk solution is just 10 parts water to 1 or 2 parts 2% milk. SO, as an example, if you had 10 cups of water, you would add 1 or 2 cups of milk to this, shake it up and spray.

I have seen powdery mildew do that to the leaves, fix the mildew and you should be good to go.

we have something like that but is mostly only on one row and i think on ours its the dust blown on them from the fans, on ours that one row does not get direct fannage. i can shake it off like dust and it covers the whole plant. yours kinda looks like mold because it looks patchy. mold comes in blotchs. good pictures you got there. good luck
