looks like beatle larvae on my plant boring holes

i have a few plants outdoors and every time i go check on them i find another branch turning yellow and get dry to the point of breaking at the touch. today i found the culprit, looks like a overgrown maggot , i looked up google and it sounds to me like its some sort of beatle larvae that bores holes in shit? i dont know??

can anyone help!!
