How much energy does a 400w hps drain?

I've used a 150w hps for a while now..I'm ordering a 400w hps. Prob. sun system enclosed ballast. Do people think that is a good choice? And also was wondering how much energy it should consume? Will it be a big difference in my electric bill vs the 150hps? Any comments would be greatly appreciated! :hump:

Lol if you used a 150 watt light before and now you are going to be using a 400 watt light there will be 250 watts more power being used. 400 watts total

every 2 1/2 hours would equal 1 kwh because the bulb is 400w and the ballast use about 30-50w itself so it your running that and its 11cents per kwh it would cost you about 44 cents for 12 hours a day
