what color is it? ive noticed anythig that has a texture of almost iodine looking shit stains my roots ive used 100s of products but sorry never urs and almost everytime my roots are stained brown when i harvest, no mold, no mildew, no algae, no slimy clean smelling aquarium smell with little to no problems at all (i use h202 also) aeroponic nft resevoir, ive used h2 and f1 fulvic acid from AN my roots are BROWN right now at 9 weeks flower i can show u if u want they are brown as rot looks like but there really is no rot just a stain, remember roots are super white dude dont take much to taint them, i wouldnt worry about it if i were you, ive had dozens of products stain my roots, dont look appealing but hey i dont smoke roots

right on...liquid karma is a super dark shit green color...I also use h202 as well..
its gotta be the product..my buddy had me freakin..he said if your roots are any color than white, you have issues..
we use different nutes.

haha im sure he meant well, 95 percent of the time hes right, if your roots are brown its not usually a good thing as you know im sure haha but alot of people dont realize that roots are very very white like sometimes u can almost see throug them when they are young so it doesnt take much to stain them its like a white fruit of the loom, but im sure u didnt show him the stuff u were using, have u ever used gh floramicro that shit stains roots really bad to he meant well he just didnt see the product you had probably like i said again one of my plants roots are like black tar looking literally and its one of my hardest and most furthest along plants

smokey sorry to ask here but i see you have a nft thing goin on in ur sig, you said your new but may have a bit more exp than me cause ive only ever grown dwc, do your roots have enough room in those tiny little tubes in your journal? i would imagine things would become very tight for them down there maybe im wrong maybe they just stop when they find the bottom anyways thanks for the possible help

they have plenty..those tubes will fill up with a root spaghetti. i have the 36 site system. most people run the 60. this is more of a sea of green type thing, so the plants stay relatively small due to height limitations in the tent. when they wake up in an hour I'll post some pics of inside the tubes.

yea i run sog also smaller setup but same concept my roots get like big fuckin cables must be from the type of setup you run cause im thinking of going the route u go cause the switching out res's when they are under your plants suck, u probably just have a bucket that u can dump nutes into whenever u want

hygrozyme will also turn ye roots colors a bit.
the difference:
your friend is probably using chemical nutes like GH 3 part flora series
you are using something like hydro/organic nutes like gh floranova
when brown roots r a problem:
They will become slimy, possibly have a stench and algae growth.

yeah the shit was kinda slimy in the beginning before i got the hygrozyme. but im running sensi bloom a and b, bud candy, liquid karma, cal/mag, and hygrozyme...dont think any of that is organic.

I believe the hygrozyme could be considered organic...but it is not a nutrient.
I believe the sensi stuff is chemical, yes.

yeah...the liquid karma is supposed to be equivalent to voodoo juice, made advanced nutes...that shit was hella expensive tho.
