there is a very orange tint to it but i guess itll have to workdef. not halogena i do know that much
damm thats about the worst but here they areThe bulbs just looks like an incandescent standard house bulb. Maybe there is a ballast in that box but I can't tell if you're using it right or just running a household bulb off the emergency 120v light tap.
Better pics are needed, a view of the bulb from the side and a look in that box that we can actually make out what's in it.
If that's a household bulb it won't do you any good at all, you would be lucky to get results like in this attachment:
ty ty there 150s watts but they are very hot hot ..and yes i have a much bigger room then needed, it prolly gets about 85..90 sometimes in the daytime..but ill get a brick tomorow ! and just to let yall know that gas can is water or a differnent kind of stuff..im pretty sure its nuthing flamableOk that is for sure an HPS it's just a differt shape bulb than most people are used to seeing but it's not a conversion bulb that ballast has an ignitor so it's straight hps. The ballast should say what wattage or on the end of the bulb maybe. I'm guessing no larger than 250w. You need to find out the size so we can tell you how far away it will work from the plants and how much area it can cover. 250w lights should be 8" from the tops of the plants, 150w even less. You have it too far away I think.
It's not a fire hazard no matter how old it is PROVIDED that you don't put it in contact with flammable material. Set that ballast and transformer on a brick or a sheet of drywall and 1' away from anything flammable.
i agree..does it have a lil ceramic tube filament lookin thing in the bulb? usually thats what are in those lil ballast.Looks to me like an hps coversion bulb. Not very bright or safe lookin but the coversions retain the mh shape but have and hps "filament?"
