Its just a typical "Problem / Reaction / Solution.
Man made flu virus created and set on to the population (Problem)
The government / media, then get us all into a panic (Reaction)
Then the government offer the anti virus (solution) in doing this the private pharmacutical companies owned by probably the people who control the governments make a absolute fortune...

If you mean man made in the sense that a kid got infected with flu and the virus mutated in him, then yeah its man made.

Conspiracies.:? Makes you wonder why pot is not legal yet...

Take a good look. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread459847/pg4 last comment

"I see this thread has gotten busy since I started it. Could I politely request less arguing over what info is true or not and more focus on posting actual stories, testimony etc else people coming to the thread are going to have reams of posts to wade through before finding any actual "stories". Some of the other threads might be a better option if you want to discuss the virus and all its various implications and other associated topics

Clouds in the Sky, an established & respected member of ATS posted a story on another thread and has given me permission to paste it here :

"My last contact with my source was last Saturday and I will repost what I learned at that time. Evedently under these circumstanses security is extremely high concerning communication..........I did get a message from her son on Tuesday and the only thing I can add is that it is mutating.......to what level I have no idea.........

I have a top level contact with the CDC who is a scientist working on this flu issue.......

In confidence I was told

"Do not take any up coming vaccination"

"What you hear in the media and government .....multiply by 4"

"This is the first of many rounds as this mutates"

This is the first time I posted this info here on ATS.......So for me and my family that is our first step......Not to take the vaccine or anything "Bird" related....My big fear is that our government will be forcing us to take the vaccines in the very near future as the mutation progresses with H5N1........There is some real evil lurking in our governement and world.

As far as what to do next..........I am working on that.....

But tonight say a prayer.......... "

And for those who say "shit, its just a flu" in 1918 it was just a flu, a flu that kill millions. Mutating can drastically change circumstances.

check that date 1918...since then their have been tons of medical advancements...and lets think bout this, this type of flu jus happened to mutate and infect the one in a billion person that was viable enough a host for it and in mexico which to be honest doesnt have the best health and medical tools and facilites...its not as serious as ppl want to make it out to be...

jfgordon ...

Have you considered that the so-called "Tea Parties" that took place on April 15 may have had a wake up call effect on the progressives/communists/fascists in the Obama administration? Personally, I think so. And, they haven't seen nuttin' yet ... wait until July 4th.

yeah I agree, i liked the "tea parties" because Reps and Dems both showed up. In my mind, it brought everyone together as one. which i believe is a huge deal because even though some people are Reps and some are Dems... we are ALL Americans. And we want is best for this country.

I read somewhere where you posted about July 4th, but im not aware of whats going on. Can you fill me in ?

Swine flu hits youth the hardest

(05-06) 17:28 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- Even as Bay Area children returned to school Wednesday with reassurance from public health officials that the swine flu isn't a major threat, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention noted that a disproportionate number of young people seem to have been infected with the virus.

Not enough data exist to be certain that young people are more vulnerable to swine flu than anyone else, CDC experts said, but in the United States, more than half of those infected have been under age 18. In Mexico, about half of those who died from swine flu were under age 29.
"In seasonal flu, you tend to see a predominance of burden to the elderly and the very young. Here we are seeing it more in the younger population," said Dr. Richard Besser, acting director of the CDC, in a press conference Wednesday. "That is something we are keeping our eye on. That is something that raises concerns."
Swine flu has sickened more than 1,900 people in 24 countries, including more than 600 people in the United States, according to the CDC and the World Health Organization. Two people died from the illness in the United States and 42 people died in Mexico. As of Wednesday, there were 50 confirmed or probable cases of swine flu in the Bay Area and 275 in California.
Besser and other public health experts noted that there could be a simple explanation for young people bearing the brunt of the disease.
In the United States, young people are more likely than the elderly to have traveled to Mexico recently and been exposed to the virus there. A large number of Americans who have been infected with swine flu had been to Mexico just before they got sick.
Another possibility is that older people are more likely to have been exposed previously to similar strains of the virus - known as influenza A, subtype H1N1 - and have a built-in immunity to it.
"It could be that there is cross protection from previous H1N1 infections," said David Lewis, an infectious disease specialist with Stanford University School of Medicine. "That's certainly testable, and we should know that soon enough."
Besser noted that while children have made up a high percentage of the most seriously sick - the median age of those hospitalized in the United States is 15 - there hasn't been enough research yet to say whether that's meaningful data. Thirty-five people have been hospitalized with swine flu in the United States, but it's not clear how many of those people had medical conditions in addition to the virus.
So far, all of the research has shown swine flu to be relatively mild and no more serious than seasonal influenza, say federal and local public health officials. That's why the schools that had been closed due to swine flu were allowed to reopen Wednesday.
School administrators said it was a relief to get the "all clear" and reopen campuses.
At Highlands Elementary School in Pittsburg, which reopened Wednesday after shutting down last week when a student was found to have swine flu, absences were a little higher than usual, said Dee Lopez, secretary to the principal. She said some parents hadn't heard the school was open again, some students were out sick and some families decided to keep their children at home for a few more days.
Teachers and other administrators are taking extra precautions, she said, including sending children home straight away if they start showing symptoms of the flu.
Closing the school was disruptive, Lopez said, "But we're all just happy to have our kids back."

oh no people... 1900 people in 24 counties . a whopping 42 people died n Mexico. Now when they go out to eat they have to sit one person at a table. A family can't even eat together !http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-mexico-normalcy7-2009may07,0,7278187.story
Why is this non-sense still going on...

There's another T.E.A. party that will take place on July 4th that will make the first one look paltry by comparison.

As Obama's "plan" continues to unfold, more and more people are becoming alarmed.

Please explain in detail and elaborate on the consequences of "Obama's Plan". What I see is the digging out from 8 years of the Bush regimes repressive anti constitutional antics and their deplorable economic plans. I am a little worried that he doesn't want to take the Bush regime to task for things like domestic spying and torture, but overall, his agenda looks a whole lot better than Bush's. All this lack of freedoms that you so hate, were basically introduced by Bush.

Strange, I don't think digging deeper is the same thing as digging out. I mean, isn't the goal when one finds one's self in a hole to get out of the hole, not to go further into it?
