I'm in the fifth day of flowering and I noticed that some of the new growth is twisting. I transplanted 5 days ago, could it be the transplant that's causing that? I'am using the full line FF nutes and 600w hps about 18" from the tops of the plants. Temps are around 76-80 f with the light on. And it a soil grow in FF ocen forest. Any help be much apprecciated, Thanks

yea, i have the same problem. The only difference is I transplanted into a different soil mix (which could be the problem.) I know it cant be the light b/c I just built a new lighting fixture for efficiency. Did you use the same soil when transplanting?

I'm not sure light is the big issue, I'm using a 600 w hps. I have 9 plants at an average height of about 13 inches. 3 gl buckets. Temps stay between 70-80 f when the lights are on, and about 65-70 f with the lights are off. I keep the 600 w hps about 18" from the top of the plants. Transplant shock???

plants outdoors on a good summers day get 10000 lumens per square foot and lot more different spectrums.... they still do this to get to the light. maybe you turned the pot and the plant had to correct itself who knowz... ive had leaves do a full 180 in the middle lol

transplant shock wouldnt help things. also over fertilizing and heat stress sometimes does wierd shit to the plant too ie: the claw

Sorry no pics yet, I promise I'll get some up before the grow is done.

When I transplanted I only had 3 bags of Ocean Forest left. And the garden center was also out, I didn't have the time to wait for them to get a new shipment so I just picked up 3 bags of happy frog and mixed it with the 3 bags of ocean forest I already had.
I figured they were similar enough soils, so it wouldn't matter.

Could that be the issue.

I think you are looking into this issue to deeply.. they will probably be fine, unless they start wilting or changing color (ie turning brown, spotting, etc..)...

just let them grow... I dont think you will have any issues..

I mean, you didnt transplant while flowering, did you? that is a HUGE fuckup.. haha

you got in a rush... you shouldnt have induced flowering condition until they were transplanted and chillin for a few days.. no matter what, ALL dirt plants go through some extent of transplant shock when you do transplant, so its always a good idea to give them a few days, or even a week, to recover BEFORE starting the flowering photoperiod...

a better way is to have them in a bigger bucket in ANTICIPATION of flowering.. as in, you shouldnt have needed to transplant that close to flowering if you had them in bigger buckets... so just try that next time and avoid the transplant shock altogether when close to flowering...

either way, they will be fine.. hell.. they are probably just now switching to flowering, as it can take a few days to actually stop the veg state...

hope this helps

Yea those are all good suggestions. I normally do the grow from clone to harvest in the same bucket, but I was going to try something diffrenent this time around and decided to scrap the idea.

And I know I should of transplanted earlier to give them time to recover, but I was waiting for the garden store to get more ocean forest and they didn't, and I have time constraints since I moving mid May so I had to start flowering asap.

Just trying to grow the best buds possible.
