Drying my crop

3 weeks hanging and it’s ready to smoke, I hang whole plants so there’s a lot more stem and leaf which also serves to drag it out longer. I find a 21 day cool dry to be perfect for giving me the best the plant has to offer. Turbulence plays a big part too, or rather the lack of it, the more air that rushes past the hanging material the more terps are lost, I try and move as little air as possible when hang drying.

Im doing my first harvest in a week or so.
So youre not doing cure? Does that affect storage? I expect to store mine for at least 2 months, wondering if i should cure or not.

I would rather not, because it takes a month, and if i dont have to...

I would rather not, because it takes a month, and if i dont have to...

I don’t cure as in fill jars and burp them, I find that at the end of a 3 week drying period the bud is dry enough for storage, but I do store mine in a purpose built fridge that is climate controlled. Maybe invest in a grove bag? They seem to be the best in the biz for storage atm.

i personally am of the opinion that once the cannabis is dried properly it will only ever get worse with time. Fresh terps are what I like, I know people say it gets smoother with a cure but I find it’s smooth enough after a 3 week dry and don’t want to lose any more terps than I lost during the drying process.
