Hi

New here so I thought I'd say hello to everyone! And I'd like to build one 2x2 grow tent, just thinking how many plants grow in would be better. Do you have any idea for me? :weed:

Thanks!

Under 100 usd would be better. :)
Id go something like this. Around $70 USD from eBay, AliExpress or similar. 150w, Samsung lm281 diodes (288 diodes), sosen driver with dimmer. Picked up two the other day. They do well in a 2x2.

I picked them up as "greenfingers 1500w led grow light" for $115 Aussie dollars (72 USD), but they are everywhere under different names, especially in AliExpress.

Spend a little extra upfront and buy a 2x4, a 2x2 will give you next to no weed in the long run and you’ll 99% upgrade in the near future anyways, as everyone always does.

I DIY everything, but I found it's cheaper to but a tent then make one. Unless you can find a roll of canvas with diamond Mylar on one side. And have a decent sewing machine. I do have experience tent growing before tents, wrapping a lathe frame in plastic.

I would probably choose a shape like this, with extra angled support for equipment to hang:

Build the frame with 1" or bigger PVC pipe & fittings (it's just a small tent after all), and possibly use the grey PVC electrical conduit that is resistant to any UVs if needed. I would use steel myself, but then again I have mountains of scrap/pipes laying around, as well as PVC pipe & fittings. The 3 way furniture grade fittings make it a breeze.

Then simply cover with rolls of reflectix bubble wrap and metal tape, and some other thicker fabric on the outside. Cool ninja turtle bed sheets, etc. Use SM 90 spray adhesive, and wrap it like doing a headliner, lol. Better yet, just use 1" rigid foam board stuffed between the framing, for all the panels.

Use magnets to attach the door panels, instead of zippers..

4 or 6 inch in-line fan any will work, I use this one in my 2x4 and it’s been running fine for over a year now iPower 4 Inch 195 CFM Duct Inline Ventilation Fan Air Circulation Vent HVAC Exhaust Blower for Grow Tent, Greenhouses, Basements or Kitchens, Lite, Black https://a.co/d/9BnQYQE

If you need to handle odor you’ll probably want to push air through a carbon filter on the outside of the tent rather than pull from inside. It’s a little less efficient but having more height in the tent makes it worth it.

I’d really suggest going with a 2x4 or 3x3. A 2x2 really won’t yield enough to be worth the trouble unless you’re a really light smoker.
