MY PLANT STARTED FLOWERING AFTER I HAD THEM IN 36HR DARK. BUT THEY ARE ON 24HR LIGHT

Why did they get 36hrs dark if they were getting 24hours light? I'm lost.

Don't tell me you're gunna flush, drill holes in the stem and keep them in the darkness for 72hrs before harvest as well.
