Amare LED ??? What do you think

So is anyone going to give their opinion on Amare LED’s ??

My opinion is that we should have a huge argument about them, true to tradition, til everybody just wants to die.

My more serious opinion: they have for long put spectrum over absolute raw efficiency. I've not seen any hard evidence for efficiency claims but they may be right, at least on a board level. But no indie reports from sphere or gonio and a lot of people says they can find them on Alibaba. There doesn't seem to be a super secret sauce with regards to spectrum and photosynthesis; All Light Matters, and all will grow but playing with different spectrums can change morphogenic behaviour of the plant:
Lots of red (and at least some blue): "greedy" growth, tends to grow fairly fast and soft, like the kind of tissue that are in fresh shoots. But the plant may not be the best come flower as branches and trunk is forgotten when the plant tries to make the best out of favorite spectrum. Sorta forgets the infrastructure.
Lots green: more fibrous growth, harder trunk. Inhibits blue response including transpiration.
Lots of blue: top cannopy behaviour: inhibits stretch and keeps them short, increased transpiration and root building. Lower yield but higher THC % but similar total THC as other spectrums.

Monos: 420-430, 470, 660 and 730nm: all these nanometers are poorly covered by normal leds, covering them can increase plant health in various ways.

All this is my self educated opinion based on reading and watching, no I won't go look for article quotes, there are always quote whores amongst us. I encourage anyone to check up on it themselves.

There has been many over the years. From what I’ve seen the lights grow weed, but there is far more cheaper options that will give the same or better results.

I have the amare sb800 and can say growth/yield is a little better than my HLG rspec bars. My amare light uses about 5-10% more electricity to get the same ppfd as my hlg strips but I do love this light. Little pricey tho

The times they are oh so a-rantable but oh so not a-changing...

Things are on the upswing here though, generally, but not a great year.


My day job is luckily enough not worst in show, eventually when only the right option remains they will take it, but there are much worse; putting the entire staff on part time + extra gov money (reduced to 70%, and which don't materialize ever in real life) and then expecting workers to do a full day for half salary. And getting away with it.

Turkey fires are in the news here with both gutting images of basicly hell but also images of solidaric help, planes heading down from all of Europe. But what seems like over the objections of leadership who cannot muster a single plane. But firemen helps firemen.

I hope things get better your end. But unfucking the world looks bleak.

I took last week off to rest from my move to Ohio. That was a month long journey in itself. I have a job interview tomorrow hopefully that goes well and a year from now I can buy a house and get back to herding cats
