I was meant to chop down my crop today but I decided nah its a nice day for fishing...
I had a good day landed 7 rainbows, I chapped 3 fish 2 for the smoker, the 3rd I'd have returned but it was bleeding.
I was out on Friday too but it wasn't the most productive of day's 2 fish for 7 hours of fishing.

Omfg I forgot to mention, I couldn't get a joint lit for the best part of the day 
, I rolled two joints for in the boat and come home with one, I had boats downwind of me all day, when I got home i barely had a puff from it before falling asleep, it's 5.30am now and just getting round to smoke it lol.

I'm not wanting to get into the barbless debate there views and evidence both for and against.
But yes we use barbless hooks when retuning fish, your always going to get injuries however I'm not concerned it'll be eaten.

Not us. We use barbed hooks for striper, largemouth bass, trout, and salmon. The only thing we have to use barbless hooks for is sturgeon.

I like the American attitude towards field sports, we have two many animal rights cunts in the UK now and they're backed by government, I could possibly see the beginning of the end of fishing in my lifetime, it's fucking grim here.

I would suggest a noodle or spey rod in the 12' + range. It removes the line tension issues for most. And an FYI. A hook is dead;y when inhaled no matter the type.

That was the case, the hook type wasn't the cause it was how the fish had taken the fly and caught its gill raker.

i keep a magnifying glass in my tackle box.
makes lighting bowls and joints on windy days, and under way no problems.
solar power!!!!!
a bowl lasts alot longer,
and you get to taste fresh green every light.

Besides the newer sturgeon regs, up higher on our rivers and sometimes their tributaries is where they got special regs. Especially for steelhead.
For instance, when steelhead fishing season is open on a stretch of the Feather, barbless hooks only, starting at the 70 bridge up a little ways.
