Jack Herer Autoflower issues

Jack Herer Autos growing in FF Soil, Spiderfarmer LED in 4x4 tent. Two separate plants showing same symptoms, but other autos in tent look great, GSC, OG Kush & Sour Diesel - 1 each and a couple photos. All autos in only 3 gallon pots.

Both Jacks got a 1/4 dose of flowering nutes from Green Planet - base + additives on 8/29.
On 9/2 - they were dry so I thought maybe they need more nutes, so I bumped up to 1/2 dose.
Today, 9/5 Jack plant 2 was dry again so I gave plain PH'd water. Plant 1 can wait til tomorrow to water.

Plant 1 last water PH in was 6.4 and runoff was 6.1
Plant 2 last water PH in was 6.4 and runoff was 5.5!!
Today PH in 6.9 and out 5.6

Anyway - please see pics and see if you can tell what is wrong. Rusty colored spots. I cannot find anything online except Magnesium deficiency or even same is excess. Very confusing. BOTH plants have same regardless of their PH. Plant 2 is the larger of the two.

1st two pics show leaves only. Pic 3 shows Plant 2 and Pic 4 shows Plant 1 and the last pic shows grow space. Plants in question are upper right and middle right.

Please let me know what you think this might be! (Found a couple fungus gnats flying so I put sticky papers in all the pots - Some have been caught, but not a huge amount)

Looks like an intermittent PH issue or CalMag honestly. Fox Farms seems to have a lot of people posting here with issues just like yours. Any chance you're using Coco Loco blend?

USUALLY calmag will be a lot more rusty looking and less minor. PH issues tend to have more minor patches of "rust" like that.. Just in my own experience.

Thank you. I don't think it is the PH - both plants have it and PH has been steady. I am using Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Green Planet 1-step nutes, but I follow their schedule with the other 4 additives.

I will try CalMag next time. I have the Botanicare CalMag Plus - is that going to be ok? I will also try to water with a higher PH - maybe 6.9 or 7.

Anytime my runoff ph differs that much from what I’m dumping in, I use plain tap ph about 8. It gives the plant plain water and raises the ph of root zone.

Botanicare CalMag+ is my favorite calmag supplement. Been using it for about 2 years now. I run Reverse Osmosis (Distilled) water so its basically stripped of everything so its good to add inbetween feedings when I Just give "water". I would shoot for a 6.5 PH in Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Then later on try something other than fox farms. They are just problematic man.

First problem is FF. Next issue is ph and salt build up. Contrary to popular belief I find a hard flush with 5.8 PH to help with this when done once a month after week 6 of use until flowering. The prior suggestions in thread are just going to compound issues. FF is really notorious for nute creep. Maintain a Ph of 6.2- 6.4 and bounce in that range in veg. 6.4 - 6.8 in veg."flower" I'm a dumb arse. FF is not a self sustaining living soil as we call it. Just an organic medium. Ph does matter. Living soil or outdoors in ground you don't need to Ph. Mix 1Tsp fish emulsion and 1/4 Tsp Epsoms salt with a quart of water foliar spray for two mornings. Rinse the plant on third day. Those two should fix the nute issue until you get your soil working again. And I would skipp a couple feedings and reduce my watering by a bit.

Just my experience with FF junk over the years.

So you suggest hard flush of acidic soil with lower than recommended ph water? Hmmm...ok

do you also change your oil every 3,000 miles :wall:

I didn't read the attachment. But how can you accurately measure soil Ph by runoff? Inconsistent concentration or dilution due to water absorption and temps just to start the list of intangibles. It takes me 24 hrs by weight with a Sudsbury Soil test kit. More complicated than dipping a strip in your stream. Still with a margin of error of size.

For people with nutrients in the soil (or a build up) testing runoff and watching it is all we have.

My last "ever" FF grow with 5.2 run off from week 5. Same methods listed. 007.jpg

It doesn't. Better grow next time. Really? Suggested the steps to correct your issue. Not a transplant. My grows are based on experience. Not years of reading and quoting. The internet has seriously deceived many people with info to grow plants. Just not well. Hard knocks and hands on is more beneficial to grow to their potential.
