Help, can this be used in DWC/RDWC?

Can this be used in hydro(DWC) for the purpose of fighting slime/rot/algae/pythium?
Either in a mesh bag floating around or sprinkled at the hydroton up top? I bought some cause it's the only thing available here. Searched for so many hours now I'm giving up.

I really struggle to find anything for this purpose in my country. All the stuff I read about is in the US and shipping here(scandanavia) is 50$++ for just small containers. What else would I need but wormcasts for a DIY recipe?

Hydroguard... no idea about the stuff you got but if it's made for soil, I'd be super careful.

Using hydroguard but I need something more cause I still get bio-film that seems slippery so guessing algae or something I don't want.

Southern AG Garden Friendly Fungicide is a bottle of 98%concentrate if the basscillus that is in Hydro Guard. So get THAT instead if possible.
But if you want my opinion, you just need 0ppm Reverse Osmosis water and a Chiller to keep water temps at 63-65℉(17-18℃)

Why reverse osmosis water, phatogens?
Is it rly that much of a difference?
My tap is about 50ppm(0.07EC)
Currently keeping water lvl at 18—20c(64—68f)

You run sterile airwalker? Thinkin maybe I have to do sterile to get rid of this problem, or pay 3x price for bennies cause of shipping.

Hydroponic additives are specifically balanced for hydro systems. Using something meant for soil can have negative impacts on your plant and stunt growth. Excess salts leading to high EC is a common result. Maybe not a huge concern for bennies, but the bacteria may not even be activated in a hydro setup. It can definitely be done, just be careful. Theres a reason hydro fertilizers and bacteria tend to cost more. I can't speak to this specific one, but if it was good for hydro, I guarantee they would advertise it that way. Just don't roll a 1.

i would try to find pool shock. here in the US the main brand is HTH. it's approximately 60% calcium hypochlorite.

you will need an accurate scale to use it properly. to 0.01 grams

what country if you don't mind my asking? I've done a lot of work in Sweden

If you don't want any residue in your containers, then I'd suggest you go sterile.
As far as the supplement you originally posted, I'd contact the manufacturer and ask them if it's suitable for hydroponics.

Kinda leaning more and more towards the sterile approach. But still a bit on the fence cause I've seen so many ppl saying sterile is even more work than doing bennies. Is this bullshit?

I think it's the same.
I'm just not too picky about some bio-film.
The primary reason I'd use sterile would be if I continued to have pythium issues.

I don't seem to have root's that are dying/rotting. But the bio film is there and things below water level are slippery.

That small bottle will likely last you several grows. Its 1,000,000 times stronger than hydroguard and we dose it at like 1ml per 5 or 10 gallons vs 3ml per gallon for hydroguard. Keep that in mind for pricing.
A small 1 pint bottle will last you longer than a gallon of hydroguard
