So I got a cmh but can’t hang it rn and my seed just finished germanting so I planted them in a small plastic cup I put the light on top of a toilet it like 27 28 inches up will this work till I trans plant it I got a Philips elite 4200k bulb also no timer yet will this work ?
Will this work and not catch my house on fire

Do you know the par you're getting at that height? I would advise putting something under the cups to get the seedlings as close as you can without burning them so you don't get an ugly stretch with ridiculous node spacing.
I want to do that but I can’t I’m growing in a thin plastic stand up shower so I can’t drill it and yeah I got the wrong timer
So you are saying they are to far how many inches from the light u recommend I don’t want to burn them

Well that depends on the intensity of the light but if you aren't sure it's better to just leave it as you have it. My first LED let me get within 4" but my new LED says 17" at the closest. Stretch is not detrimental it just looks funny. Burning a seedling is detrimental.

first you are NOT to far away for a cmh and seedlings you could even be higher and be just fine.but seriously on a toilet?you have to be trolling.if your not its still one of the funniest damn things i have seen in a while.don't start your grow until your set up and ready lesson no# 1.if you show that much impatience now you will never see the end of this thing,no pun intended but it may go down the toilet.two photos seem to have different bulbs maybe?best of luck to you though.

I’d get a clamp light and an LED “flood light”. Look for daytime. Should be 13w at wall. Remove the plastic cover. That will be enough for 2 weeks
