I voted liberal, but politics in Canada isn't the death sport it has become in the states, the stakes are normal, not existential. I figure the liberals and the NDP would form a coalition government if required to keep the conservatives out of power. We will soon see what the results may be, but BC on the west coast could hold the key with the NDP, so it might be a late night! Coalition governments often lead to responsible government, but not always. I figure young Trudeau is doing a pretty good job of running the country, as in the states, the gun nuts and racist migrate to the conservative party and the Tories serve the 1% only and play the rest for suckers. Sounds a bit like the republicans eh?

Wrong. Voting for the wrong party will lead us directly to hell as in it did in chicago, ny, baltimore, etc. Look at what one ndp government did to ontario. Look at what the ndp government has done to Alberta re billions of dollars in debt - calgary's own mayor is quoted as saying they need to 'tighten their belts'. Only fools believe that running a government on debt is a smart move (because it all hinges on endless growth which is obviously unsustainable)
Pull your head outta your ass and realize that there's almost as many guns as people in canada. More that a quarter of the population are gun owners, probably like half if you counted their wives and children.

They used to fly back and forth seasonally when I was a kid. We'd watch wave after wave of the big V formations, the teachers would have us march outside to watch them fly in elementary school for science class in spring and fall.
Global warming has them flying in circles all winter now. And if people feed them, they never leave. They just hang around to eat, shit and honk.

Trump and the republicans threw their country under the bus because the GOP base is driven mad with fear and hate. Your posts indicate you support this treason and as a Canadian patriot I have a very low tolerance for such hate and fear driven bullshit. We have racist assholes in Canada too, we fine and jail them when thy open their mouths, spread it or teach it to children, I support even harsher laws. In America 46% of house holds own a gun and a small percentage of those own the rest of the over 300 million, mass murders are among them. Most of the guns are owned by a small percentage of people in Canada, almost all are hunters and the rest legitimate collectors. Just count the 25% who have the FAC, wives and children don't co own the gun, the FAC determines who owns it and are responsible for it under the law. I see you had no objection to the conservative party of Canada being accused of being a political home of racists in Canada, your support for them proves this point. I voted NDP. I wasn't going to be coerced into voting Liberal by the fear of a Conservative government this time around, and I don't feel like a traitor to my ideals. Feels good.
I guess the idea of Liberal, fiscal responsibility makes me laugh. Those fucking clowns have enslaved generations of Canadians with their reckless spending, and Canadians are no better off. They continue to let the rich and corporations evade their tax responsibilities, and have worked tirelessly to keep ordinary Canadians from entering a burgeoning new cannabis industry. They are nothing more than corporate whores, completely interchangeable with the Conservatives (without the blatant racism). Same suits, different colour ties!
Either way, the best governments are minority governments! Canada wins!
