Did I over water/under water?

I watered 24hrs ago nearly exactly. I'm using Roots Organics Original Potting Soil.

Hard to overwater with that much perlite lol

It’s more to do with frequency than amounts - overwatering.

I see gc written on your pots. Does that stand for Green Crack?

Np. Also bare in mind as they germinate and start growing don’t water them all the time. Even small bits every day.

The pot size are good for seedlings.

When the very top layer starts to dust I water my seedlings.

They search for water with that taproot

Nice. I have a clone only Green Crack in flower now, and one that I just started vegging and I've labeled them like that before (gc) so that's what I was thinking. The new clone is actually the fourth round of it.

Just thought of a fool proof method. Well almost...

Get another white pot and put dry soil in it.

Then you have something to compare it too!

I'm hoping to get some clones soon from a friend. I think I may've planted the seeds a bit too deep, about an inch and a half at most. Gonna wait a few days. Thanks so much for the positive responses!

Try watering with a hand sprayer; nearly impossible to overwater that way. If you are germinating seeds try covering with a ziplock baggie or something to increase humidity until you see leaves emerge. You can also place a tray underneath and water from the bottom. Even deep seeds will pop off of conditions are right; soil needs to be kept moist to get them to open.

Purchased a small one today. Thanks for the suggestion. I plan on watering daily until the seeds pop up (by watering i mean making sure its wet again, I won't be creating run-off). Thanks again

Another method is to slowly drip water onto the soil over the seed with a teaspoon. I also use it as a way to water seedlings, putting a teaspoon full of water right by the spot where it breaks the soil. It's time consuming, but if you like to really baby your seeds and seedlings its hard to overdo it.
