12-12 from seed question

Hello, i started this plant 12-12 from seed because i already had a few girls in the tent flowering. I would like to prolong the veg period if possible by placing it in front of a window that receives lots of sun for a month or so? Is this something that i can do after already being under 12-12?

people reveg after flipping to flower all the time, im not sure if this will stress it out too much though as its been on 12/12 its whole life.

Hmm i had a male i took out of the tent and put it infront of a window just to see what it would do and grew about 2 feet.

Im not planning on flowering it under the window just gain some size

how many hours of DIRECT sunlight does the window get? 18 is recommended.

I've read that its not good to move plants back and forth between sunlight and artificial light too much so this may not be an option.

I would also flush your males if you dont want seedy buds, the pollen will get everywhere once the sacs bust..

Should be fine. It doesn’t even have any pistils yet. I advise if you want to grow quick flowers, don’t 12/12 a photoperiod from seed. That’s just a waste of time and energy. Just get an auto flower. Autos grow great bud

Heck ya put that in the window ledge for as long as you want and when ready put back in the tent at 12/12, your golden. Had to do this with 6 clones I cut from a plant 4 weeks into flower. The plants are mutants and have bud sites everywhere. The other posters saying you have to do 18 hours are confusing things. You can veg a plant for 24 or 20 or 18 or 16, but all you want to do is keep it alive until your tent is free, so any little bit of light ( given for many hours) will keep it growing. Once sun goes down move it under a small house light or keep in a bright room even. Don’t sweat it.
