your second worst fear realized..

iPhone FaceTime bug lets other people eavesdrop on you

San Francisco (CNN Business)A newly discovered bug in Apple's FaceTime software lets Apple users listen in on the people they are calling, and even see through their front-facing camera, without them picking-up the call.

The bug, flagged by 9to5Mac on Monday, was quickly recreated by people across social media. CNN Business confirmed the bug multiple times in its own tests.
Apple said in a statement Monday night that it has identified a fix for the problem and will release it in a software update later this week. In the meantime, Apple's website indicates Group FaceTime is unavailable, and the company confirmed it has started disabling the Group FaceTime feature for all users.
The bug works on iPhones and iPads running iOS 12.1, and Apple PCs running macOS Mojave, which have the recently added Group FaceTime feature.

No doubt you've heard about how the US and EU countries are prohibiting the Chinese telecom and networking equipment maker Huawei from supplying equipment for the new 5G wireless internet rollout, because they're so concerned it will be compromised and allow the Chinese to spy on users.

Ever wonder why they're so confident about this?

...because America's spy agencies have been spying on us for years with older versions of the same gear.

Thanks for letting us know, Mr Snowden!

I'm just going to take it slow today and stay alert.
Oh boy, stuck in a traffic jam yesterday and this is why, a milk tanker in the ditch on it's side. Roads have been plowed but they're packed snow and it is still freezing cold, that packed snow is really slick.

Sorry not the best picture

You always have to be alert and cautious driving these trucks and slow it down when the roads aren't dry.

I"m so fortunate to work for a good company, as our drivers are never pressured or rushed to drive somewhere too fast. Just a laid back and safe environment at my job. If we ever get pulled over for a simple roadside inspection and check out good, the owner will give us a $500 bonus for a clean inspection. There is a very high incentive at my work to just be safe.

Whoops, I got off the thread's topic.

How amazing it is still below zero but feels balmy relative to the temperature a couple days ago.

Superbowl is tomorrow and the only reason to watch is to hope the Patriots get crushed. Making chili.

Here is a good recipe.

HOW DO YOU MAKE GOOD HOMEMADE CHILI
Start with a large heavy-based pot (or casserole pot) and sauté onions, green peppers (or capsicum), jalapeños and garlic until fragrant.

Cook until browned (Break up any big chunks with the end of your wooden spoon). Stir in your seasonings and spices, then mix in crushed tomatoes, broth and beans.

Let simmer until the chili thickens (this takes about 30 minutes). That’s IT!

WHAT INGREDIENTS GO INTO CHILI?
  • The recipe calls for ground beef (or beef mince) but you CAN you use ground turkey or chicken. You could also use a slow cook meat, such as chuck steak or brisket, BUT you will need to have it on a low simmer for a couple of hours to allow the meat to break down.
  • You’ll need other simple veggies, such as onions, bell peppers and garlic to create your flavour base.
  • The most important ingredients to add into a good chili recipe is spices! For example: cumin, chili powder, paprika and cayenne.
WHAT BEANS DO YOU USE FOR CHILI?
Any beans can be used in this chili recipe! I love kidney beans (red beans) and black beans, but you can swap them with pinto beans or even chick peas!

WHAT DO YOU TOP CHILI WITH?
To make your Chili even BETTER, top with any of the following options!

  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Sliced green onions
  • Chopped Cilantro
WHAT GOES WELL WITH CHILI FOR DINNER?
BEST CHILI LEFTOVERS
Turn your leftovers into another meal with so many different options!

  • Serve with a side of corn chips or warm tortillas
  • Over rice and beans
  • With fries or wedges
  • Stuffed inside baked jacket potatoes
  • As Sloppy Joes stuffed inside fresh bread rolls
  • As a hot dog topping — Chili Dogs!

You've now cleared up just how it is that you can talk out of your ass so much.

That's because Elkhart Indiana is the RV capital of the world; they build more campers and motorhomes there than anywhere else on the planet.

What's wrong with a little civic pride, bro?
I guess it's ok, I mean camping is a part of American history. I'm pretty sure most people like to go camping. I wouldn't mind taking a nice road trip in a sweet RV and staying at different campgrounds. I would love to see the Grand Canyon someday

They build deathtraps with no safety standards mostly. When i sold motorhomes in florida before coming here we saw some serious ugly build pics. And i mean unbraced refrigerators which would be a 150 pound 5’ projectile in an accident. And chunks of wood wedged in to support frames that were cut improperly.

Winnabego actually builds with safety in mind. And uses a steel frame.

Been there, did that. Worth stopping by to see it, for sure.

Lax regulation and inspection can be a problem in any industry. I have some ideas about making RVs better, I want to talk to my cousins about them. They have mechanical engineering degrees and plenty of experience in RV living, so I'm sure they'll have solid feedback.

It has nothing to do with engineering. It has to do with lazy workers and greed with no regulations to stop it from happening.

Used to be conversion vans from the big 3 were about 1100 pounds overweight for their chasis and brakes before any people or luggage.
