Well, the final countdown is on. Tomorrow we will be a fully legal country. As for me, I'm happy I can keep doing what I do every year without fear of repercussions. (4 plant allowance per household). I don't think I'll be buying any legally sanctioned products however.

If I'm not mistaken they repealed that part. Someone with sense said that it was silly to have the difference between legal and illegal a couple inches on a plant that can grow that in a couple days.

I still don't understand how people thinks its legal when there are rules and regulations around it. Why not just remove it off the illegal drugs list? Someone was saying that cannabis related arrests are up in America...

I hope this wave of rules on "legal" pot does not come to Australia. The price just crashes.

All of you Canadians and non Canadians a like. Please understand this is just prohibition 2.0. We here in Canada are not free from being criminals. In fact in some cases we are going to be treated even more like criminals. Please educate yourself on what our laws actually are before commenting on how great this is, Not only is this not that great for rec users, it actually puts us medical users at a much greater risk.

Theres no height limit as they realized that was ridiculous. One could go away on vaca for a week and their plants could grow to be over a meter. Was a stupid suggestion from the start

Each province has set their own rules/laws but it is legal everywhere for up to 30 grams.

But even each city/region can set rules on distribution and where you can smoke it.

And even a strata (condo association) can set and have set rules banning smoking or growing pot in their building, even if you own the apartment

They can evict you for growing pot, even if it's the legal 4 plants or less

In Alberta, the largest rental company has outlawed pot smoking but you can smoke cigarettes

In the Calgary International airport you can go to shelters and smoke a cigarette but not a joint....go figure

In my province (BC) things were much better than most other areas, but we now have taken a step backwards.

I've been able to buy pot/hash/oil/shatter in local stores for years, now they can only sell pot.

Time will tell how this all settles out, but for now it's a bit of a cluster fuck
