Hello folks, I've recently bough this tent, Here are pictures I put up off it in another thread I made, I'm over the moon it my first tent and propped grow other than growing in make shift cupboards and outside lol

https://www.rollitup.org/t/does-this-look-ok-for-my-first-time-putting-my-grow-tent-up.977568/

^^^^^^^^^^ There's pics off my tent i put off on another thread and this is the website I bought it off here, down below.

https://www.growell.co.uk/grow-tents-sheeting/grow-tent-kits/bay6-xl-complete-kit.html

My tent size is 1x2 1x2 200, I've got rhzho pots and growing in coco, I've got every canna nute going, Coco A+B, PK13/14, Rhizotonic, Camnazym, So they will be getting the full works,

Right now to my big question I've been building up to lol!!

How long shall i veg for on 18/6 around 4/5 weeks? My biggest fear is vegging to long then flipping to 12/12 then underestimating the stretch and not have enough room in the tent and having to get rid off the plants my tents because they have out grown it.

Thoughts and help please!!

Have you researched anything about scrog.Awesome way to control the outcome of your stretch and the best part is you have many massive colas instead of just the ones on the end of each branch.

Yeah I've reserached a canny bit about it actually but me being honest I don't think ill be able to pull it off specially with me been been a noon, I've only just got the hang off topping 2-3 times a plant and fimmimg, Dont you need netting? Then just wait for the shoots to grow through the net Or am I way off the mark lol? If so fill me in on the way you do it.

For the most part yea that’s all you really gotta do.I use a piece of wire fence and it seems to work pretty good. Its an awesome way to get the most out of your plants and the space you have as long as you set whatever your using for your scrog low enough.Seriously check more into it man I believe you will really enjoy watching the even growth and equal size buds you will get out of it.Im no pro by no means man this is actually my second time ever using the scrog technic and I can really tell I’m gonna have a pretty dope canopy this time around the first time I simply didn’t veg long enough and didn’t get a lot of yield..Doing it this way you can pretty much veg as long as you like by continually tucking branches and and pulling your bud sites through the holes until you eventually fill the screen flip it to bloom and walahhh and even canopy of equal size buds..I actually have a thread about my plants I’ll be flipping to bloom soon enough check it out and stay in touch maybe you will like what you see...Or you can skip the newbie and just check the pros do their magic lmao but at least you and I are close to the same level and can see what you’ll be getting into lol with similar results...

You can top the plants a few times, just before flip, put the net about 6 inches above the plants. As they grow into it tuck them, use netting with around 4 inch squares. If you've tucked a branch and it gets way above the net still (more than 6 inches) you can pull it out from under and feed it into a hole further away, reducing it's height. Be careful you don't over lap too much on lower leaves when doing that, they need space to breath.

Plants will stretch on avg for about 2.5 weeks. At t week2 aim to have as many tops as you can no more than 5 inches above the net, you'll win some and lose some. Also have only one top per square if you can help it. If the net is still too high toward end of week two, as in a lot of tops are not making it to the net, lower the net as you see fit, tuck the taller tops again if needed.

You can scrog from the start, it will fill the net better and yield more but you'll also need to veg longer reducing annual crops per year. It's nion 6 and two 3's.

Just something to look out for if you do scrog from the start. If the net gets too full you won't have room to tuck much during stretch. Then you may need a second higher net to support the buds after stretch, since they may get too tall for bottom net. Once 6 inches above bottom net they will increasingly start to bend under the weight, fall onto each other and create rot potential while also reducing even light coverage.

Hey Flowki, So sorry I didn't reply mate I completely forgot about this thread I made I was only thinking about off it today how long I should flower for, Cheers for the tips buddy but I haven't got a net with my tent I though I did but then I looked about I i didn't seem to get one sent you must have to.but them.separately,

Anyway the only training techniques I know is how to top a plant the LST seem to complicated to me also the supercropping seems WAY to complicated to me to, I harvested 4 Northern Lights around 3 weeks ago they are currently been cured , I.topped every one off them plants and got 2 lovely main colas on every plant there will be a few pics on the forum somewhere , This is I grew in my makeshift grow cupboard with a make shift carbon filter I had in there, It was a nice little stain to grow to ran into some problems along the way but none that couldn't be solved. Plus I've done a outdoor grow every summer since I was 18 and I'm 28 now I grew some lovely robust strains outdoor to so that's 10 year off experience outside growing, I bought a tent mate I've madr a few threads about it, So I don't known how to scrog LST or anything like that, The only thing I known how to do is Top,

So what would you recommend for it buddy, Like how long shall I veg for? Then top, Then the plans obviously needs time to recover so how long shall I let them grow after they have been topped? I'm just worried about the height and the stretch you see I've never really had this problem with growing outside the last 9-10 year, One off the strain I'm growing might not stretch as much because it's half and half 50% sativa and % 50 indica, Plus I've read grow diaries about the white widow strain from the same breeder and it doesn't stretch much, It's just the other 2 growing with them 4 I have altogether in my tent, These other 2 are Royal Cheese both sets off seeds are from Royal Queen Seeds (Good Breeders)$ The Cheese Strain leans more towards sativa I think it's 80% Sativa so its going to be well taller than the white widow.

Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated as always buddy, This is only my second indoor grow the first been in my makeshift cupboard. PM me or just talk on this thread up to you matey, Have a good day.

It's difficult to get optimal light coverage when you have plants of varying heights. The most simple way is to elevate the smaller plants to the height of the taller, the elevation method could be tricky depending on what you have at hand (that's your problem to fix ;p). You still may also need some light lst during stretch if the royals are still getting way ahead.

Everyone's pref is different depending on many factors, on avg topping 3 times is a good compromise between veg time and end yield. I will not get into specifics on when to top as set-up etc makes it more unique. All I will say, is that if the plants are 1foot tall (or slightly bigger) and have been topped 3 times, they will fan out nicely during stretch (plant height does not include pots). For your situation you'd want the smallest plants to be 1f tall before flip, so that root zone has a buffer from canopy temps after stretch. But remember this is preference, you can go smaller or bigger and top more/less. More or less yield either way but also more or less veg time. I'd say don't top less than twice though.. or you might as well do sog.

Hey Flowki, Hope your.sound dude, Yeah I was thinking about that and also while where on the subject my good buddy suggested some good LST on the Royals if they start to get a bit to tall, Haha certainly is my problem to fix;) lol, The only "training I know how do correctly Is topping on have some multiple outdoor grows and always topped my plant for big colas, Mainly a nice tall sativa strain to take advantage off the summer lol. But no I won't be doing a sea off green that's not my thing, I'm a topping man I ALWAYS top once sometimes twice if I feel the plant can benefit from it yield wise.

It's just the vegging time with me doing 2 different strains, Now I don't know if that's where my problems stemmed from wether i should off just grew 4 Royals or 4 Widow but I love both strains so I wanted to mix it up a l little and grow the 2, Both are from RQS.

So overall if you where in this situation what would you do? Don't worry if you give advise I'm not going to do it straight away lol I just want peoples opinions on things before I make a decision, You have Been a great help by the way,

This is I'm worried about the Royal Cheese when flipping I've read it can be a very stretchy Plant when you flip, I'm not worrying about when flipping I th the Widow then stretch kicks in I think from what I've read and been told it's a rather bushy plant. There's a plant on Grow Diaries and the Royal Cheese and Honest (it's a outside grow) it's bloody huge Its easy the tallest land I've seen ill and find the link show you,

https://growdiaries.com/diaries/10269-royal-cheese-outdoor/week/74049

Check that out its insane!! That's the same strain (Royal Cheese) but obviously with it been grown outside its got the legs to stretch , So yeah im just worried about it been growing inside there is a few journal's on it grown inside to but they don't match my height restraints (2Metres) because ill obviously have to flip them at the same times but what if the Royal Cheese doubles or even tripples in side?

Hmmmm Tricky one this I think.

So any advice on this is appreciated?

Top the royals very early, when they have 2 obvious node sites (or 4 shoots) cut the top new growth off leaving the 4 lower shoots. Then top those 4 new shoots as soon as they put out leaves/node and so on. That will focus them more on relocating growth rather than main stem height. But you also need to make sure you get your light height/intensity spot on in veg, that will also keep them smaller. As soon as you can, get the 600? within 18-22 inches. This will slow them down only for so long though, by around the 4th topping they will have enough over all foliage to bounce back far faster and begin putting on more height.

But also check how well royals do being topped and lst'd if you need to do that later.

Na that's ok been busy myself. Top both as soon as you think you can, after the first topping you'll get an idea how fast they bounce back and can delay topping on the cheese if they are nowhere near the royals in height. You might end up doing 2 toppings on royals per one on the cheese, maybe not that exact but you get the idea.

You can top the cheese just as much but if they stay too small you won't have much room between canopy temp and root temp when you have to elevate them to match the royals.

Hello my friend good to talk to you, Yeah ill top them as soon as I can I normally top them at the 4th node and wait for recovery for a week then normally back on track, Let me explain I think I might off confused you a little bit i have 2 Royal Cheese growing in my tent and also 2 White Widow, When you are referring to the "Royals" and the "Cheese" it's the same plant.

They are called Royal Cheese off Royal Queen Seeds, Here's a link to them, That's the Royal Cheese I'm growing 2 off them.

https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/feminized-cannabis-seeds/140-royal-cheese-fast-flowering.html

Here's the White Widow I'm also growing, I'm growing 2 off these 2.

https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/feminized-cannabis-seeds/122-white-widow.html

Sorry for the confusing buddy I should explain things better, How long do you think in should veg for? Thing is I got 3 seeds off each so I've got a spare extra seed off cheese and extra spare seed off Widow, So I could off had 6 but people where telling me I would never fit 6 in my tent it's a 1x2, 1x2, 200, High, I might try 5 next time and see how in get on, Like grow 2 off 2 different strains like I'm doing no with the White Whidow and the Royal Cheese, Then just put a random plant in a see got it gets on then eventually grow 6, 2 off each.

If I confused you somewhere down the line I'm sorry buddy I confuse a lot off People specially when I'm Blazed lol

Yeah my bad sorry, miss type on the royal/widow.

I can't tell you how many to run or the minimum veg, like I said it depends on the individual set-up.

Hahah no worries mate I thought it was a typo, Yeah I suppose your right I just don't want my plants to out reach my light because I've vedged to long.
