Wait - how are you growing - soil, soilless, or hydro or?I’m still confused. I have a gallon of water with Hydroguard in it. I just got fox farm nutrients and wonder should I add it to the reservoir, gallon of Hydroguard or make its own jug of water!
Re read the post... Add. Hydroguard last...Wait - how are you growing - soil, soilless, or hydro or?
If your doing hydro, everything goes in your rez.
Even with soil, everything ends up in the water you feed them, so either way, I dont see why you have separate jugs of nutes and hydroguard?
Well you never mix the concetrates together .. You did it wrong pal.Well I mixed them all in a jug an put it in so ![]()
Aren’t they mixed anyway tho??Well you never mix the concetrates together .. You did it wrong pal.
Re mix a fresh res because most of your nutrients probably precipitated out of your solution
Do not mix concentrated solutions together befor diluting them ....Aren’t they mixed anyway tho??
Just put some water in them first?Do not mix concentrated solutions together befor diluting them ....
They bind together and throw your system off.
Do it how i explained above.
I get a solo cup of water and add my concentrated nutrient and it Stir it up , walk away for a few min to let it difuse . Then slowly add it while stirringJust put some water in them first?
ThanksI get a solo cup of water and add my concentrated nutrient and it Stir it up , walk away for a few min to let it difuse . Then slowly add it while stirring
Then wait 5 minutes befor adding your next nutrient
And dont add all of your concentrates to one cup.. Dont be lazy.
Wash it out and get fresh water after each nutrient .
If you go too warm you risk slime and root rot in you res. Unless you use a produxt like southn ag garden friendly fungicide or great white myco from the start. Or if you run a sterile res using hrh pool shock or 29% food grade h202.I have another question. My plants are coming back to life. But I forgot to put my ac unit back on. Seems like the heat helps them grow. Every time I think I stay in the 70s grow kind of slows down.
Air temps are in range about 70-75. Resovoir usuallly at 68-69. Just yesterday temps were topped out at 91. Reservoir was like 86. Just was kind of hot an they sprung back up. I will take a picture when I get back.If you go too warm you risk slime and root rot in you res. Unless you use a produxt like southn ag garden friendly fungicide or great white myco from the start. Or if you run a sterile res using hrh pool shock or 29% food grade h202.
Ideally your res should be around 65-70f
You go a bit warmer without as much risk if you use one of the methods above. You can get upto 85 res temps.
Air temps 70-80f
Roots don’t smell. I took my plants out of the jiffy peat things two days ago. I have the lil clay rocks. So things should be a lil better.and thanks see if I can find the southern Ag next timeNext time just stick a rooted cutting into hydroton rock balls instead of a peatpod or whatever you used.... Organic meterial in your resevoir will cause slime . And root rot.
Your roots look ok.. Hows the smell?
If it smells like potatoes and garden soil your good ... If it smells like shit and actually smells bad then your in trouble
Hydroguard is expensive .
Southern ag garden friendly fungicide
You dilute how much youll need for the day only .....dilute to 1/20 and then use 1/2 a ml per gallon of resevoir you have.
A little bottle will last you a year vs amaybe one grow with hydroguard
Same exact ingredient
