New plants from fresh seeds

I germated these in a jiffy pod box and just transferred them today to bigger “pots”
With miracle gro organic potting soil. I wanted to see how well these would grow and am hoping it does really well i have two in cups outside and yes they have holes under them, i tented them in ziplocks outside and and have a nice thin platic bag tent with holes and a 2700k light which i heard does well for veg if you dont have an option. Any tips to keep these growing strong if i dont have many resources or money? Im keeping the ph of the water at 6.7 as far as i have been watering them.

I also have planted 2 in the ground with soil and am experimenting with that thanks for any advice with everything.

U might catch some grief because u are using miracle grow because it gives your plants nutrients when it don't need them and it retains water... Just make sure u have plenty of perlite in your mix and don't overwater that is the hardest part imho and hold off on the nutes till they look hungry .. U came to the right place there is a lot of experienced growers here .. Good luck and happy growing bro

I would un-tent them. They look extremely wet and you risk dampening off.

If you cant afford better soil and only have a homeD near go pick up some Kellog's patio plus. Its a cheap soil and doesn't have those evil little nutrient balls in it so you need to add your own nute's which is better for the plants. You through 2 in the ground? its harvest time outdoors for most places so unless you've got supplemental lighting or live somewhere with a weird weather pattern they are not gonna do so well.

Update:

I lost one in the ground and i lost one in the pot,(week before halloween) but i transplanted one into the ground and 2 into super big pots. I went to check on them all today which are in the photo and the top right (3rd picture just sprouted a whole bunch of nodes which have some big leaves and even one close to the top node. Will have picture tomorrow.

Let me know what you guys think? I did a full out door grow cause my roommate was going nuts. And i made that corner space mine and cleaned up the soil.

i bought a 40lb bag or organic raised bed mix from lowes for $10 and it supported my plants for 30 days from seed (under 12/12) before she started showing signs of hunger.

the only thing is it has SOME bark pieces in it (easily removed) and has no perlite (easily added) and i soil tested before planting and found it had a perfect ph of 6.8.

no reason to use miracle grow, it works but its definitely not the best. ive had what i thought were decent results with miracle grow and since switching to that organic raised bed mix its just gotten better.

seriously, this stuff has been great to me so far and if were talking price, its the same price as miracle grow which gives you less than half the dirt, AND its a higher quality AND its organic! (if youre intot hat kinda thing lol) we dont have a hydro store around here and the next best thing is a nursery which is closed for the season. after scouring all of my local hardware stores this is the best soil i think i can find locally without purchasing online.

I'm switching to all hydro after this grow lol got one 5gal hydro bucket goin, started same time as my soil plants and the thickness of the stalk/stems is literally 3x the size of my soil girls.
She drinks 4in of water out my Rez a week in week 4 of veg xD the last pic is a super sour diesel the same age as the hydro. It's a no brainer switching to all hydro lol

Guys, OP said it was the new line of MG Organics soil. Does not include the devil salts. Put down the pitchforks.

Op, I would have tilled up the whole bed, not just where the plants went. But over all, they are looking pretty good. Good luck.

Yes, they are trying hard to get into the weed growing market. Dope growers really love their pots, ferts and soils. They love them so much they pay two prices for them. With prices going to hell, this is where the money is in growing pot.

They are already in the weed market. People just don't realize it. Scotts Miracle-Gro already owns Botanicare, General Hydroponics and many other lines through it's subsidiary Hawthorne Gardening Co. People are buying Miracle-Gro products and don't even realize it. Pretty soon they'll likely control at least a third of everything marijuana growing related.

Hagedorn is backing up his big talk with serious cash. He shelled out $135 million last year on two California-based businesses that sell fertilizers, soils and accessories to pot growers, recently spent another $120 million on a still-undisclosed lighting and hydroponics equipment company in Amsterdam and promises to invest about another $150 million by the end of 2016. Altogether, the deals are bigger than the largest single acquisition in the history of Scotts Miracle-Gro, which takes in $160 million of profit on $3 billion in sales annually.
