pro mix bales are not sterile. maybe steamed dunno, but not sterile. synthetic nutrients are not sterile. auto claved syringes are sterile..until exposed
if all you did was add nutrients and promix I'd say you'll never have anearobic bacteria growing in it. add water, maybe water with microbes....or add rotting plant material, dead rotting former beneficial organisms, dead fungus(from over feeding, over watering, starving 02 etc) then place in your space which is far from sterile.......shit happens

I use spring water from the ground, outdoor exposed promix, sometimes reused, composted chicken shit too. no root rot, no anaerobic bacteria, no molds. I used to collect 10 gallon bins of steaming rabbit turds and put them directly in the soil with no issues every week. far from sterile.

your first issue is simply watering too much too often. stop that and success follows

Actually no.
No issues.
As my original post said I merely put some dry Pro mix on top of my already watered plants that's all. They seem to take a bit longer to drink. I merely asked if I could expect problems from topping my water pots with dry Pro mkh that's all. I just never did that before and didn't know what to expect from it.

Everybody seems to have assumed that I have a problem but I never said that. I'll post a pic when the lights come on later to show some very happy plants.

Me too. Right now my house is 26% rh.

But when i went to a 5x9 space and put 8 x 3.5 gal pots under by lights i have no prob hitting 80% rh now...lol.

Not sure why though because when i was in a 4x4 with 4 x 3.5 gal pots it was still a fight to get over 35%. Wierd...

It must be that the second light makes a big dif.
The larger tent likely has more plants in it with more leaves transpiring leading to higher humidity.

" should almost be ready for more water today. But not even close."

long as they happy change nothing for sure.

(but you are still adding too much water at each watering imo which will lock up, change ph, and starve root zones of oxygen, and stall uptake of water)

Ya... that raised my alarm...but it wasnt a problem...i was asking if it might prove to be one.
As it happened...the answer is no.

As for too much water? No. My hid lighting regimen has been the same for 6 years. No probs with over watering in all that time.

With led cobs... thats a different story. For a different thread.
