DOES BUBBLE HASH CONTAIN LESS NICOTINE THAN BUD?

Both have "tar" and carbon. One big difference is that weed makes you cough, which gets rid of much of what was put onto the lungs. Tobacco doesn't seem to make people cough much, and nicotine also paralyzes the little hairs in lungs, cilium, which act to move out the crud. With tobacco, the shit goes in but it don't ever come out. On top of that, no normal person wouldn't smoke as much weed as the average tobacco smoker does with cigarettes. There's about 1/2 oz of tobacco in a pack of 20. How many people smoke 1/2 of weed or more a day?

Unless you are rich, getting old is the worst outcome you could have these days.
I say light it up. Hash and rosin and what not are cool, but nothing beats cleaning and breaking up some great smelling weed with your fingers, rolling a great spliff using awesome paper, lighting that motherfucker up and smoking it.

Actually you caused me to recall that I recently read that menthol, which is added to commercial tobacco, when combined with nicotine in smoke produces an anaesthetic effect on the lungs so people won't notice how fucking harsh it is.

Here in Canada cigarettes are additive free (except menthol which is approved in methol flavored cigarettes, obviously) and they still don't make you cough like homegrown. I suspect that the difference in homegrown tobacco is that commercial cigarette tobacco undergoes a pretty extensive flue-curing process, which reduces complex sugars (starches), lipids, and amino acids in the plant matter. I don't know of many home growers of tobacco who flue-cure their crop.

https://www.coresta.org/abstracts/chemical-and-biochemical-changes-during-flue-curing-tobacco-8474.html

According to this link; http://www.leffingwell.com/download/Leffingwell - Tobacco production chemistry and technology.pdf on page 7;

In a study of over 150 brands of cigarettes done in 1972, it was concluded that brands with low sugar content generated more alkaline smoke than those with high sugar content. Since the pH of smoke in air-cured tobacco is considerably more alkaline than flue-cured or Oriental, the ratio of nicotine base to nicotine salts increases. This causes the sensory and physiological perception of increased nicotine strength (and harshness).

Apologies for the long reply just thought it might be some interesting information to share especially since it can provide a lot of insight into the chemistry of curing bud aswell ;)

Cheers!

If a home grower follows commercial fertilizing instructions while not following the whole curing process I am sure the ends will make you cough. Savvy home growers do not feed their produce to the end like commercial producers do, and I know this is the cough reasons, from my personal experience. t o o much ferts to the end, for more weight, yuck!

cannabis doesn't have the polonium-210 that tobacco has either ...
The radioactive metal in cigarettes is polonium-210. It was discovered in 1898 by Marie and Pierre Curie. It is extremely toxic (about 250-million-times more toxic than cyanide) and is naturally present in uranium.

Developed countries use fertiliser that is manufactured from apatite rock, and this rock naturally contains uranium which then decays to radioactive polonium-210, which enters the tobacco plant through both the leaves and roots.

When the cigarette burns, it reaches temperatures of 600–800°C, hotter than the melting point of polonium.

Polonium 210 has a half-life of 138 days. Won't be radioactive for long.
Tell that to Alexander Litvinenko! :) it's not about how long it lasts (138 days is still a heck of a long time though in this context), but rather how much damage it can do in that time

His 'hot' tea had a lot more in it than a thousand cartons of cigarettes.

The Russians have more recently resorted to simply pushing people they want silenced out of windows. Cheaper, I guess.

If anyone is interested in the effects of smoking cannabis and cigs, look up Dr. Donald Tashkin. He performed a 30 year study that shows no causal link with cannabis and certain head, neck, and lung cancers. In fact, not only does cannabis not cause these diseases, it also provides an insular effect against those diseases in people that also smoke cigarettes. He lost his funding, which was provided by NIDA because the findings were contrary to what the wanted to find. So, no nicotine and the tar doesn't act the same way that tobacco tar does.
