Sup guys, been thinking about going organic lately but don't really understand how to go about it or how it works for that matter.

Live in an apartment with wife and kid so not much space for mixing soil. That being said, I have 2 questions.

Can I just buy some Ffof, use that for veg till it runs out then amend it with some composted tea recipe for flowering?

Where can I go to learn the benefit for each ingredient I amend my plants with.

Looking for a flower recipe to start and would like to know what ingredient does what so I could tweak my own recipe from there. Thanks guys

another thing you may want to consider is scratching in some amendments to the top couple of inches of soil.i recently learned that bonemeal added at the beginning of flower will help your buds.id look for fish bonemeal myself, slaughtethouse bonemeal doesnt jive well with me.also dry kelp is always good, earthworm castings, all this may help during flowering.this way every time you water, youre watering in your amendments.build yourself a 2 gallon brewer just for your "herd" and you'll be on the right track.

Thanks, so do you recommend adding amendments to the soil after nutes run out and switch to flower or through the whole grow? Just so I'm sure, you can use only tea for your girls in flower right?
Thanks man

Making tea in an apartment doesn't sound like a good idea. It can be messy...
If I were you, I'd start with FFOF soil, then transition to an organic liquid fert like botanicare pure blend pro.
@MichiganMedGrower uses this with great success.
Good I'm not really worried about making a mess or smell. I'm more concerned about space. Besides, I want that microbial crab thriving in my soil.
Thanks

apt. with wife and kids, I suggest you to not go organic or even use soil at all. some nice flood table hand build or purchased with some rockwool and simple bottle/s of nutrients done right will be just as 'clean' and potent.

(And I am a huge advocate of organics so this pains me to say it, but I think using wool instead of soil in apt with kids is the smarter choice, or dwc bare root if buzzing air pump noise is no problem in apt setting.)

You can get sick or make family sick with a lot of these ammendments and not even know it.
And then there's the bringing soil in and out of apt. and old soil when crop is done.. and many reasons it is bad idea. trail some dust on your shoe or sock through the apt and next thing you know kid has weird eye infection etc.

What are microbial crab?
Do you even understand the difference between AACT & nutrient tea?
Excuse my lack of vocabulary, I'm just saying I'd rather have a living soil then to add organic ferts. But like I said in post I don't understand tea much.

"AACT & nutrient tea?"?
Sounds like your telling me these are two different things. Correct me if im wrong please.
Aact feeds the soil with microbial life & nutrient tea feeds the soil nutrients?

Thanks but I'll manage to keep it clean and safe.

organic bottled fertz and you can still have a living soil, just sayin. It's high doses of sythetically labratory derived mineral salts in ionic form that can fry microbe life. just as salt on your tongue can dry you out, or drinking ocean salt water what it does, and kill life.

That being said I'll definitely look into organic fertz then.
