I admit, poorly timed post on my part but 122 F is still quite a bit hotter than the average of 104 F.Yes, that's right. In Arizona it's called the first day of Summer!

I'm not saying that these temps have never been seen ever! The fact is that there is a trend starting. In 2016 these same temps set record highs and now one year later they are back and staying longer. These temps will continue to become the new normal and eventually the highs will get higher and higher. It's not good.I visited Arizona in the Summer of 1960.
It was 120 degrees then too.

It isn't individual highs that are concerning but the tends associated with them when we start see them year after year.

Glad I live where I do, It's a nice 61f here today, I could use a bit warmer but 122 would kill me lol.
The Planet is getting warmer and some places are getting colder, Sea Levels are rising without a doubt. That hole in the Ozone layer is closing up, but we can't be sure if that has done anything yet.

I didn't expect this thread to go in this direction as I thought most people would tend to agree that climate change is real.
I wrongly thought it would be more political and the discussion would have more to do with Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord in favor job creation in dirty industries such as thermal coal. My bad ....I guess.
