Does anyone have a decent COB build for around $150?

I've got a 2x4x5 tent, and I have a $70 300w roleadro led in there already. This is my first grow and my Caramelicious autoflower is still stretching. I really like it and my only issue is it doesn't cover the whole tent. I knew it wouldn't before I bought it.

Now it's time to get a second light, and I was looking at COBs, but they are so expensive.

I found a roleadro 400w cob on Amazon (Roleadro 400W COB Full Spectrum LED Grow Light with Innovated Chips, 2nd generation. Cant post the link, but just search Roleadro 400W COB on amazon) that can be primed, for a total of $100 including shipping. Its got a good amount of ratings and 4 stars. Since I'm happy with my 300w roleadro led, I'm pretty confident this one will make me even happier.

However, if I could build/find a better one for around $150, I'm all for it. Ideally the $150 would also include any necessary tools, as I only have a screwdriver with like 30 different tips.

Let's say $200 limit all in, including tools and atleast most of the shipping. Since I'll be spending twice as much as the roleadro 400w COB, I'd like to be confident that extra money will save me a few dollars each month on my energy bill/provide better yields to make it worth it.

I doubt I will even need more yields, but I'm all for high quality yields.

Anyone got any suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance!!!

Can't link yet, tastyled link removed
What's so bad about Roleadro?

It looks like the cheapest tastyled is the T1-V196 which is $185. It's got one emitter one it, but I guess this should be enough for half my 2x4x5 tent right?

It's weird their landing page shows a light with 2 emitters on it, but I can't seem to find any 2 emitter lights listed...

for 3*5 flower and a 3*3 bloom it looks like i want 4 t2's..? that's about 600w compared to now w about 900w plus i can worry less about temps, saving airco and extending my seasons. how much heat do these put out i wonder. are tastyled's better spectrum? could i build my own , just as good for half the price?

Go with EB strips, oh yeh Cobkits said he was putting up some chips for less than 10 bucks each.
EB strips? Would you mind giving me a link or pointing me a bit closer to what I'm looking For? Platt comes up a lot when googling.

EB strips are <$200 And good lights?

I've heard the name Cobkits all around quite a bit. Is this a person? He is putting up some sort of chips somewhere for $10 each?

well every home should have at least a cheap cordless drill imo.
Alright, I'll buy a cheap cordless drill if needed and it won't come out of the $200 budget :)

Got an idea in mind?

I was actually directed to this forum to ask this question and was told you would probably help me out! You've got a good reputation! Heard your name quite a few times now!

Edit - to many smiles, jeeze

I'm pretty sure the other night I watched a growmau5 video where he built a frame and I think all the pieces already had holes in them and stuff so he didn't need a drill. Those parts would probably be more expensive, though.

I can probably come up with a reason to borrow a drill... I was coming up dry for reasons I would need to borrow a soldering iron earlier.

I could also just buy one too, but I haven't had the need for one besides for this, renting apt, nothing that can't be removed from the walls (stick on command things)

I have a roleadro, great unit. the cobs are junk compared to whats available for a great price from places like cobkits.com. I just switched the cobs out in the roleadro with some citi 1212's. works like a champ! also gained two 50w drivers in the swap. the roleadro has four 50w drivers in it, but I only needed 2. Make more lights with the drivers..

I did a post on it. Its somewhere here

Was wondering how easy it would be to upgrade the roleadro if I bought it and wanted to later on.

I'll check out cobkits, that's gotta be where the name came from
