How close should my light be to my plants?

Hi
I'm in Veg at the moment.
I have a 10 light Cree CXB3590 unit for my tent.
My light draws an average of 810 watts and 6.9 amps .
I'm curious on how far my plants should be from the light?
Should the distance change from VEG to flower?
I'm at 24 inches away at the moment.
I don't have a par meter but both light meter apps for my phone read 27079lx with my light at the highest point in my tent and my phone laying on the floor of the tent. I think 27079lx is the max reading for my phone as it's the same right under the light.

I figured if they screwed up my Credit Card would cover my purchase.
I'm very happy with my purchase so far.
No dimming switch but I can turn off 5 of the lights

The reason I went with this light is it fits my tent perfectly, I have a gorilla 2x4 tent. I can also use it with a bigger tent in the future.

800W is overkill for 2x4 space, but 400W would be perfect

Around 900 US with shipping, I'm in Canada so it's actually cheaper for me to have stuff shipped from China than the USA.
I know it's over kill for my tent size but I plan on getting a bigger tent and using the 2X4 for clones and mother plants.
I do plan on building my next light.

I see 2 switches so you can run only 1/2 power for your tent and you'll be fine @verticalgrow 800w will make your 2x4 tent hot

I'm at 78f / 25c so a bit hot but i plan on using bottled CO2.
Just waiting for my regulator to show up.
