na bro ive seen that on youtube. but i think water cure looks more usable for those who only want to smoke healthy bud with no harmful stuff in it with smooth smoke. and only purpose is to get high and do not care about the smell or the weed taste, u feel me, no smell no taste but u get high
Yeah, true. The water cure will do that ive heard. I have never tried either myself.

Part of the high is the smell. Terpenes play a big role in the buzz.

No smell or taste and that takes away from the buzz.

On the other hand we all remember buying crappy weed. Harsh stuff. The high is not enjoyable if I'm coughing the whole time.

Shit happens. What did you do about the hair?

I ruined my first indoor grow. I was paranoid about smell and used different smell good products. Mainly apple cinnamon.

It made the buds taste like crap.

Got as much off as I could. Took and extra15-20mins everyday and spent it picking hairs off the plants. Still when I put it in jars you can still see lots. Lets just say I kept that batch as personal haha.
Man I cant imagine what those buds tasted like with air cleaner. Buds pick up smells and tastes from there environment. Well to some extent. My buds didnt taste like Dog ha ha ha. I actually have a nearby grower doing some outdoor kush strain grown in/around honeysuckle bushes. Im curious to see what that might do.

@Hed1

They are actually crossing strains to lower the smell, some are now available. A long time ago I think it was the Northern Lights that was popular for being a low odor plant. As for "smell less, taste less..." why would you ever want it to taste less??

@ANC
We have all been there a time or two before lol. Do you remember what that first bowl of cured bud from that same batch tasted like. :) Wont even think its the same shit lol.

Our soil here creates a very sweet citric flavoured cannabis. Doesn't matter what strain I grow, they all have that sweet taste.
I can immediately tell locally grown stuff by the taste/smell. Part of why I grow is that you don't find our stuff on the market.

I grow in honey suckle, blackberry and pine thickets a lot.

It definitely influences the smell and taste.

Honeysuckle brings out those fruity notes really well.

I use an oscillating tower fan that has a pre-foam filter and a hepa filter....does a great job of collecting/holding the dust and foreign material

Cervantes has a video on using a cup of Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O3) per five gallons of water to get rid of Powdery Mildew. You dunk in the Hydrogen Peroxide bath for a few minutes then rinse with plain water. I tried it once and was pleasantly surprised with how nice the bud comes out. I've considered doing it every grow but it is more labor intensive and timing is tricky. You have to do small batches so you can trim as soon as air-dried...

For small grows I have seen people doing it with the lemon juice, and it didn't affect smell or potency.
I helped my friend to harvest once, and trust me, after you see the crap floating in that water, you would want to wash yours too...

For commercial growers and big grows it's too much work, and most people can't justify it.
If you have a small grow I recommend it.

The H2O2 bath helps with the sneaky dense bud rot. Nothing worse than a dank cola that goes to mold on the inside where you cant see

To each their own ... I wash my buds using the simple dunk method .. Smoke is cleaner .
Once you see what the water rinse ( bucket dunk ) looks like .... you wont look back.

By twirling buds ( branches ) for seconds , lots of shit washes off. People rinse off fruit ...
You dont know who how many people touched that apple in you bag or what was sprayed on the crops ( fuck you MONSANTO ). So its a given to remove the gunk from your flowers.

I do the normal WET trim fresh from cutting it down .
Then do the dunk to remove the junk ! ( WAIT .... THERE's MORE ! ) LOL

Simple 3 bucket method will get all of that foliar shit , bug spray , bugs , hair, , dust , fungicide or whatever you put on your plants during the grow. Triches will have lots of
shit stuck in there . Triches are not water soluble , chlorophyll IS.

If you have buds that had PM or Mites ..... WHY SMOKE THAT SHIT ?

The buds are hung as usual after wash and i personally have not noticed any drop in potentcy . I grow a lot of weed and wouldn't do something to good strains that would fuck up my efforts.

Here is a GG strain i washed a few weeks ago .... Still curing .
Plenty of triches and dank smell .
image.jpg image.jpg

Here is another strain .... Sour lemon OG .
Mucho triches ... Had mite issues late in the game but i'm NOT smoking them !
Resin doesn't rinse off .... It actually HELPED THE CURE by starting to remove chlorphyll .
It add a day or two to drying .... But when its time to cut into jars , i dont get that plant chorophyll gas off as would be present as chorophyll remains on regular drying methods.

I still say try it ....

This made me smile a lot :):):)
I do also trim freshly because most my plants are like White Widow with leafy white buds, found it rather painful to trim them when hang-up too long, and the trim makes for a very good hash.
But I was under the impression that the norm would rather be to hang the stems into darkness (with only the fan-leaves removed) for several days. At least that's what I hear and see alot.
So what is your reason to trim the fresh cut?

btw does chlorophyl really wash out when rinsing in cold water? Eukaryotes have membranes which protect organelles from solving in water. But maybe my understanding of the function of biological membranes in plants is wrong? Also heard things from other sources that state that N could be washed out similarily (and one should do so before taking a clone etc) but if that would really be effective to a certain degree wouldn't that also imply that ordinairy rainfall could deplete all floral life of their water-soluable macro- & microbuildingblocks?
