Bright & early at 7:45 for me. These are only recommendations, and only preliminary so take it with a grain of salt, but it will be interesting to see what months of 'work' looks like. This is for rec, but some of it might also affect mmj.
My guess...
- Minimum age same as for booze in your province
- Provinces and cities regulate retail sales locations
- Retail shops forced to buy from approved growers (LP's for now)
- Possession limit 28 - 30g
- 4 - 6 plants per adult
- Increased penalties for sales
- Some BS about impaired driving
Not sure if it's a prediction or just wishful thinking.... Let's see how close I get!

How to grow, sell, restrict marijuana: Pot task force releases report
The federal task force on marijuana releases its report to the government today, recommending ways to legalize and regulate pot while restricting access to minors.

The report is expected to address issues around age limits, pricing, potency and where pot can legally be produced and sold.

A news conference with the chair of the task force, former federal cabinet minister Anne McLellan, will take place at 10:45 a.m., and CBCNews.ca will carry it live.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said key objectives of the legislation are to keep marijuana out of the hands children and to choke off profits to organized crime.

The U.S. states that have legalized marijuana sales have matched the age limit to the drinking age of 21. In Canada, that drinking age is lower — either 18 or 19 years old depending on the province.

The Canadian Medical Association has recommended setting the age at 21, with strict limits on quantity and potency until 25.

Drug-impaired driving prevention?
The government has promised to table legislation in the spring 2017, but it could take much time for the bill to be studied and eventually pass into law.

Another question will concern whether Canadians will be permitted to grow their own marijuana, and what measures will be put in place to prevent drug-impaired driving.

The task force's recommendations are not binding on the government.

Nine members of the task force held roundtables with experts across the country, visited two U.S. states where pot is already legal and heard from about 28,000 Canadians through online consultations.
