I know you guys hate self defense (@Fogdog) and all, and truly wish the Minnesota ISIS stabber had simply been allowed to stab his way to paradise, but...


CNN)The stabbing attack at the Crossroads Center mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota, could have been much worse, if not for the actions of an off-duty police officer.
That officer -- identified as Jason Falconer -- fatally shot Dahir Adan on Saturday after Adan had already stabbed nine people and threatened other shoppers.
Here's what we know about Falconer:

He's a firearms training instructor
He owns a firing range and firearms training facility called Tactical Advantage. He's considered an expert in firearms training and education and has helped teach classes on law enforcement skills at St. Cloud State University for nine years, his company website says.
He's a member of the United States Practical Shooters Association and has won medals in various shooting competitions.

good on that dude,it would of been poetic justice if somebody just leaving the As seen of Tv store stabbed his fuckin ass through his liver with a 18 inch ginsu from Ronco instead of shooting his ass .

What are you talking about? I'm not against self defense. I'm not against people owning guns. I'm against people carrying guns into crowds without adequate training, which this guy had in spades. So good on him and his well placed shot.

The guy probably won't have to claim he was afraid to justify the shooting either.

Did you know that in Florida, you can kill somebody with a gun if they scare you? I don't think you can use a knife but, get skeered, cap them and go out for pizza.

The lefty contingent on RIU consistently mocks the notion that an armed citizen is anything other than a right-wing, neo nazi, knuckle dragging, retard substituting a gun for his penis.

You might be more reasonable on this issue. Lately, you sometimes seem reasonable.

By the way, NOBODY argues that everybody has to be armed, although it is a fundamental right in the US.

Nope. You bring your misconceptions to RIU. The narrative from the right is that moderates -- not even hard leftists -- want to take all guns away. This is repeated again and again to scare you into voting against your economic interests which makes you a tool.

Clinton is proposing an assault rifle weapons ban that would have zero effect on the ownership of guns already in your possession and would not affect most semiautomatic weapons sold in the future.

I can't speak for everybody but most that you would label "leftists", in other words anybody who isn't extremely hard right, are just saying that gun carry laws make people less safe. We question the logic of guns carried outside the home by nincompoops like the woman who was shot in the back by her child because she left a loaded hand gun lying on the car floor and the child was able to pick it up.

You look really foolish in that photo posted by Buck, by the way.
